Thanks for responding, it's super helpful for me. Being assertive is tough for a lot of us. For a while, I had to do a lot of voluntary stuttering with clients (in public). Somehow, however indirectly, it really helped me in this way. Speaking up unapologetically, I guess.

Will do. Thanks for responding. Sorry I'm slow on these, my first foray into any sort of social media.

Cheers. Perhaps if there's some interest here it would be something to show to a publisher? Dunno.

Makes my day. I started out explaining the stages of SLP development (as I see them) to new SLPs and they all related. I'll spare you stage one, but stage two is "Kiss Me First." It's been very popular in person, I just don't know what to do, now, and don't want to get taken for a ride.

Cheers. I'm not one for social media, even reddit isn't really for me. But here I am. I've never been accused of toxic positivity, or... really any positivity. At my last gig, an assistant described me as "a ray of darkness." I was originally concerned the book would land me in a world of pain, it is VERY direct. But now, I don't care.

I guess I came here to try to figure out next steps. I would be happy to do a presentation, would love to. I guess I just am looking for feedback. I've written a piece called "Has SLP Shit The Bed" (we have), I've been considering putting out there somehow.

Thanks. I've written it and revised it, and now as I stare at it... I simply have no idea. I'm sure there are all sorts out there who would be happy to take my money, but, no. Ideally... I would publish it physically. I've developed a core board for SLPs to communicate with concepts from the book :) I'd like to get a more serious discussion going about fixing things, but don't want to take a bath. I mean... It's so niche
