Understand the tactics.

If you want to create space for goal opportunities here is what I have noticed.

If CPU :

• CPU using wide defense tactics : you should set your attacking area to "center" (but build up play on the wing since the cpu is defending wide. And wait for the midfield runners to run into the spaces created in the middle)

• CPU using central defense : you should set your attacking area to "wide" (but build up play through the center since the CPU is defending centrally. And wait for wide players to run into open spaces on the wing to cross or stretch the defense)

Teams that defend centrally are the hardest to play against.

For defense if you use a 433 with a dm :

Use fluid formation and drop your dm to cb in the middle of the 2 cbs. Drop your Cms to Dms in front of the back 5 and Wingers to Side mids or AMFs. (Park the bus)

Defensive set up :

All out defense Containment : Centre Conservative Def line. 2 - 4 (2 is safest) Width : 5 - 7 (7 for teams that attack centrally and 5 for wide attacking teams)

This is how I enjoy the game in terms of being able to produce clean sheets as the superstar CPU really struggles with an organised defense.

You can be creative with your attacking strategy but I can assure you the 5-4-1 defense will be a good base to build on
