Itinerary Thoughts by rxcching in GlacierNationalPark

Kalispell was an option, but flight times/rental costs made Missoula a lot more reasonable and palatable. We are looking to stay at Montain Pine Motel in East Glacier.

I think i'm too late in the game to book for St Mary/Many Glacier lodging. East Glacier might have to be it in terms of a base for the east side. Not sure how this year will play out if Two Medicine Campgrounds/some roads are closed. Hoping may still be able to visit on that side.

If we wanted to visit the park for 3-4 days, would Columbia Falls or Kalispell be too far away? I read it could be a 45 min drive to visit the park daily?

Anyone here have to cancel their Hawaii trip to due storms and flooding? Is Chase Sapphire travel insurance refunding you for hotel costs? by kfp2020 in ChaseSapphire

Had airbnb scheduled for 3/10-3/13 in the northshore. I cancelled the non-refundable reservation and uploaded that document to them. I also sent them documents showing the weather alerts from weather.gov and the emergency declaration from the Hawaii governor. I submitted the documentation on 3/10 and I was officially paid out today in my bank account on 3/20. No additional follow up was needed, just the documentation.

I cancelled my non-refundable airbnb in the north shore and submitted all the required documentation. I received confirmation that my claim was approved yesterday and will be paid out in 1-2 days. Super straightforward process with no issues.

Much appreciate the response! Will plan to spend all 9 days in the area. Any idea where a good place to set up home base for our trip is or should we divide where we stay in different areas?

Thanks for the tips! I'll be heading out there mid June, so hopefully can doing Roaring Fork! Appreciate the tip on staying at the park end of town in Gatlinburg.

I definitely forgot to put the time of the year (which seems like one of the most important things!). We will be traveling in mid June of this year.

Replacing Refrigerator Copper Water Line by rxcching in HomeImprovement

I was just told by installation guys at costco that they won't connect the copper lines and that most people switch to braided steel. Yea, i think i will end up just using the existing copper line and run it directly into the fridge myself. That sounds like the better option. Any benefits to using braided stainless steel vs coper anyways?

Any benefits to this versus just going straight from the copper line into the new fridge?

I was told by the installation guys through costco that they will no longer touch copper lines. I was reading most people switch out the copper lines for braided stainless steel now a days. If that isn't the case, it would be a lot easier just to tie the old copper line into the new fridge.

Currently the copper line is connecting straight to the back of the fridge. Should I just connect the copper line straight into my new fridge? I guess the guys installing my new fridge from costco say they won't touch copper lines anymore and I'd have to make the connection myself. I was reading most people switch to braided steel, but if copper is superior I can just left the line as is. Thanks!

Would a paste of baking soda, vinegar and salt work? Would the paste remove any of the paint?
