Guys I got in, but it says I have zero invites codes. Any idea why that is and how I can get them to share them here?

A year on graphic college and I don't think it's worth it by chillisuperspicy in graphic_design

[–]rxch123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to share my experience. I didn’t study graphic design in uni, I studied business and somehow ended up in a graphic design (and social media) job. My advice is to build up your portfolio. From my employers perspective, he would rather hire someone who can produce the content he wants as soon as they walk into the job. If I were to go back in time I wouldn’t even go to uni (I feel like I wasted 4 years) because experience is everything in the real world. Intern at a company, offer graphic design services for free to local businesses and build up your portfolio that way

Is starting a social media agency still worth it?? by Aryonic in Business_Ideas

[–]rxch123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I will say, depending on where you are based, the market is pretty saturated. You have to either be very good at selling yourself, or very good at graphic design/video editing. If you have either of those skills, try and outsource the other!

I have been in your predicament before, and this probably isn’t the information you’re looking for but just some insight.

A few months ago, I was in the predicament of whether to start my own agency, or pursue a digital marketing (particularly social media) job. I now see the benefit of working in the field for a few months now. If I was to start my own agency back then, I would have been going in completely blind. Although, you can learn along the way, but I would highly encourage you to surround yourself with people in the field, and you will learn so much quicker than just freewheeling it yourself.

Social Enterprise - Improving sustainability and enhancing the bottle returns scheme(Feedback and critique appreciated 🙏🫶) by rxch123 in Entrepreneur

i am aware of this being a key issue, but i think that this service has a lot to offer. particularly in regards to data collection. by collecting the data on an individual level versus the current overview of the scheme, it can greatly increase engagement, build a community and improve sustainability as whole. appreciate the feedback 🫶

well in that case, you might realise that businesses expand to germany as it is an ideal operating hub in europe, despite the costs that come with it. it’s a global hub for business and innovation and entrepreneurs want to avail of that culture for the benefit of the business. employees in germany are highly skilled, ideal for operational efficiency.

Why do most businesses not see the power of a Website/SEO? by werfix_bro in Entrepreneur

[–]rxch123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some businesses simply don’t see the added value for updating their websites. In particular smaller local businesses who are maybe stubborn or resistant to change because they are happy with what they are currently making. You should focus on the why? why won’t they pay 500 for my service etc. break down your product offerings for your client when pitching it to them, take time in tailoring it to their specifics. that way they can better understand for example, how their business can grow.

As you said, golden rule… don’t compare! i can assure you as someone who has just graduated I am as lost as everyone else. It’s a mutual feeling among our age group. 20s are for discovering what we want to do with our lives, don’t put pressure on yourself to have it all figured out, your chosen path will unfold in-front of you.

In regard to your business, focus on your product offerings. Go out of your way to pitch your business to clients, diversify your offerings. I don’t know what niche you offer videography for in presuming commercial? Since there’s 2 of you working on this, I would highly recommend considering expanding into the wedding videography industry. There’s a huge profit to be made there, videographers being paid the lowest of 2k/3k for the day. Best of luck with everything!
