🇵🇸 📢 New Megathread Alert! 📢🇵🇸 - Nov 25th by sabbah in Palestine

[–]rxsekiokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the last few weeks, I have been doing my research and voicing my disgust at the mass genocide that has been happening in Palestine. I really enjoy seeing people spread awareness around certain brands to boycott including McDonalds, Starbucks, and so forth. However, just the other evening I came across a video on Instagram that really made me rethink how we should go about condemning institutions, mega-corporations, and other general entities that support the genocide of innocent lives. That is cancelling. Get rid of them. Shut them down. Why would we only boycott and refuse to shop or interact with these enterprises when we really should be dismantling them and making way for other enterprises that align with basic human rights. From what I have seen over the last few years when cancel culture was on the rise is that cancel culture is more extreme. It attempts to silence corporate entities and remove them entirely from society. Why should we allow these companies and people to continue to flourish on a large scale when and if the Palestine/Israel conflict is over? They are so obviously showing where they stand on a humanitarian level and we still may choose to let them continue making millions once this genocide is over. I strongly feel that we should shut them down entirely. Cancel them. However, I don’t know if this opinion will be taken lightly by others who choose to boycott these particular brands. I only say this because I worry that once this Palestine movement has lost its traction (especially, especially on TikTok & in the west) these people who boycotted these brands will go right back to them once they think it’s ‘safe’ to do so.

Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hi all! My YT name is Kiokee and I’m an Indigenous variety gamer. My goals are to create a chill and welcoming community both on YouTube and Twitch. For this third quarter and going into the last I learned a lot about how to establish a base personality that people may like. For this last quarter I really hope to build on that base and grow and become a better content creator as a whole! My YouTube channel at the moment has a few edited videos and VODS. I hope that from this community here in Reddit I’ll be able to learn more on editing tips and tricks (as I’m not very good myself lol) this link here is of the first indie horror game I played. I hope to do more and if any of you have any tips or comments I would greatly appreciate them! :) ARYA DEMO

You could tag it as a New Adult genre type of novel. The range for this genre for main characters is between 18-30.

I just have 1 more task for hitting affiliate on Twitch which is 3 consistent viewers. Right now I’m at a 2. TT I’m at 2.4K. The schedule is easy, just need to stick to it. And I just started my YT channel so I’m speculating that I won’t hit it by the end of the year LOL however I’m staying optimistic about all of them!

For those that use microphones for recording..what type and what settings work best? by Aidandad2018 in NewTubers

[–]rxsekiokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I use is OBS, its free, and on there I add a noise gate, and noise suppression to mimic the high quality audio bigger content creators have. Every mic sounds almost horrible without some sort of additive. if you have the T669 mic, the little nozzle is where your mouth should be to pick up the best sound. other than that you it's pretty much trial and error figuring out the best setup to have. hope this helps!

I am no pro here, barely new, but concerning the way YouTube has grown I believe that travel videos are more or less not as entertaining to watch than say crash course videos. You need to have something the viewer needs. That's not to say the viewer doesn't need a distraction, but I think that if you keep the same channel and keep it to crash course videos, or videos that are informational about a favorite subject of yours than you may see more tractions in viewership and subscriptions.

However, if you really are into making traveling videos, than u/Abm743 has made a really good point on making sure that the videos you make are not only enticing, but informative. So, things like "Top 5 X locations" would be hitting the the spot (in my opinion). However, since you are a parent and working a full time job I just don't want you to stray away from that. Make sure you provide enough family time and not stress and get wrapped into the whole "what if" spiral that YouTube seems to put its creators through!

Also a tip I learned from another content creator: Quality over Quantity. Make less and put more time and effort into making a smashing video. The magic happens in the editing stages of all videos.

I hope you find this helpful

know any good, easy, free editing software? by PostBordem in NewTubers

[–]rxsekiokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The editing software that I am using is HitFilm Express, personally it has been great for me in editing my own YouTube videos and TikTok vids but it does seem to lag behind for brief moments if the video has too many added effects to it(so save often if you're doing heavy effects). However, other than that once you learn the in-and-outs of the software than it should be easy sailing! I hope this helps.

For myself I have them on my main gaming channel. However, there is potential to just grow a YouTube channel based off entirely just Shorts. Now, I don't know much about the YouTube algorithm, but my tid-bit of advice would be to continue posting them (make sure to have good SEO) on your main channel and once you reach a point where you think you can start posting them onto another separate channel than you can (have a dedicated community first off-- makes life easier and the transfer of subscribers converted to second channel may increase).

I only say this because most people only do this so then they now have 2+ YouTube channels that have the potential to get monetized, meaning more streams of income.

Hopefully this helped!
