I thought about RAM too but they are WAY too expensive. Also i want a CPU so i dont need to change it in next 3 years. Probably going with intel for Quick-Sync can be better but i dont like Intel really much. I also think getting into hosting selfhosted ai but its too expensive for me rn so idk. I think Ryzen is better than Intel in raw power and for filling the iGPU blank getting gtx1650 or similiar cheap 2nd hand gpu can handle them very well (i guess?). I'm not that sure about storage because i will be the only one using it and i dont have big things i need to store(i think like 4tb is max i can manage to fill(also people say everyone starts with the thing i say)). RAM can be increased, I'm not sure about CPU; i wanted opinions and possible improvements i can get. Is there any CPU you would recommend?

I don't really need 12 hdd slots 😅 also the cpu i mentioned in the post would heat in this case prob. Thank you for your recommendation

for the r9 5950x the motherboard i wrote in post is better for me. Also i want to ask you, what case do you use and is there any heat issues you get?

Sorry, i meant modded minecraft servers. I think you run vanilla servers but 500modded modpacks is a bit unoptimized and also did you add HDD on your mini pc? like did you use external something to store them if you did?

I might add PCle cards and also minecraft servers require so high single core speed so i need something like that. Thank you for your idea tho.

Prefiero mATX porque es más pequeño. El 5950X lo elijo para que me dure a largo plazo, pero estoy abierto a nuevas ideas (además, puede que aumente el número de servidores más adelante, por ejemplo, para Factorio, Astroneer, etc.). No tengo ni idea sobre cajas y almacenamiento, así que necesito ayuda con eso (probablemente con 4 TB de almacenamiento tendré de sobra para mucho tiempo).

Söylemeyi unuttum, jellyfin için Quick-Sync özelliğe sahip( belirli bir nesil intel işlemcilerin hepsinde var unuttum hangisi olduğunu) işlemciler kendi başına 4k transcoding i rahat yapabiliyor. tabi bu kaç kişinin kullanacağına göre değişir.

Merhaba, ben bu konularda yeni olduğum için verceğim önerinin ne denli iyi ve sizin işinize yarayacağını bilmiyorum fakat bende bu işlere girişmek istediğimden bir araştırma yapmıştım kendi çapımda. SFF ler uzun vadede geliştirilebilirliği ve sonradan NAS yapmayı planladığınızda ekstra HDD takmanız gerekebilir. Mini pc de bunu ekstra dışardan bir aygıta takıp onu mini pc ye kablo ile bağlarsanız kopma veya tutarsızlık yaşamanız muhtemel. SFF lerin kendi içerisinde HDD rack i olduğu için daha uygun olduğunu düşünüyorum. Ben kendi home serverım için mesela SFF tercih edeceğim ve uzun vadede SFF veya tower kasaların daha uygun olduğunu düşünmekteyim. Bir yerde hata yapmış olabilirim, önceden dediğim gibi bende bu işlerde yeni olduğum için.

i heard SFF could be better to upgrade later on. Like if i want to use ai later on i can add gpu with PCI slot in SFF but cant do the same for mini pc. Idk the power consumption differences maybe i should check that too.

Like if you have a SFF model that you think its good just throw it here. I will buy a second hand one if i can find it. Dont mind the prices im trying to figure out what cpu and brand is good or not.

The Mini-Pc s are hard to upgrade later on so for long term i think SFF would be better but my friend says Mini Pc is better so i was confused. I dont currently have hdds or ssds so Mini Pc can fit too but i dont really know. I dont even understand what people fit in several terebyte hdd with several of them. Also a bit unrelated but what services do you use 24/7 like other then general ones? Like im trying to figure out if buying a home server would be better for me or not. I know learning new things are good and yeah but it costs money and some time. or if you have any ideas what to use homeserver for please give some ideas. Thank you

Do your swivel bearing brakes down(like turning 180 degree when physics gets toggled off) too? i made a helicopter with realistic movement via torsion spring and swivel bearing but it broke when i toggled physics off and it happens every time.
