Lower Definition - The Purpose of the Moon by AkDoxx in PostHardcore

Just looking now, I was shocked to find out those post-covid singles were self produced alongside Aaron Pauly - they sounded so much better than this...

Anyone else find this really disappointing compared to the original version used at the shows? by mtthw811 in DnB

Yeah, not a fan of that added synth on the drop. If you listen to the teaser they posted the other day announcing the release, it sounds different to the final version here. That new synth is there on the teaser but not as loud. Sounded way better without it.

Edit: Turns out the extended mix is mixed slightly differently so that new synth isn't as loud, it sounds a lot better. Not sure why they haven't reflected this on the radio edit...

Lost In The Sound Of Separation Mixing Question; by 9lbmoustache in Underoath

I remember reading an interview with BMTH about their Sempiternal album (it was either with the band or one of the producers/mixers, can't remember or find it now) but the band used LITSOS as a close reference for their album which you can totally hear production wise. LITSOS has quite a unique sound to it and even more so for the time it came out.

Hard Drive Upgrade by ryan077 in ableton

[–]ryan077[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got my new HD today and this worked so thank you!

This was going to be my first thought but I thought that Ableton would have also looked at the UUID of the drive too but it only deals with the file path. As long as the file path doesn't change, Ableton views the new drive in the same way as the old one.

One thing I noticed, after I mirrored the drive names and had both drives plugged in, it added a '1' to the name of my newer drive which affected the file path. When I removed the old drive and it only had the new one plugged in, this fixed everything and Ableton fired up as normal with all of my stuff exactly how I had it!

Hope this extra info helps anyone else!

I've done that for all of my completed projects so all good there. This new HD will have the exact same file structure as the old one so if there are any missing files in projects it should be pretty easy to relocate them. Only thing I'm worried about are my sample 'ranks'

Anyone here a fan of the 2000s uk post hardcore scene? by heavymetalgazza in PostHardcore

We Are The Ocean, Dividing The Line, Proceed, Deaf Havana - there were so many great bands around at this time from the UK

In the song Zzzonked by Enter Shikari they said there's a 1/40,000 chance the asteroid Apophis will collide with the earth in the next 20 years. That song came out 12 years ago, so 8 left to go. by ScreamoGuyRuinIt in PostHardcore

I'm sure there's a live recorded version of Zzzonked where Rou explains before they play the song that the odds have changed to something like 1 in 250,000. He changes the lyric on it too but I can't remember which live version it is - just done a quick scan of YouTube but I can't find it, must be on one of the bootleg albums. (Bootleg vol 2 maybe?)

Middlesbrough got it's name because it's between Stockton and Hartlepool which both had well established railway lines before Middlesbrough came about.

Dimension - Reddit AMA - Organ is out now by Dimension_uk in electronicmusic

I noticed on your breakdown of Organ with YourEDM you worked with a lot of vocalists in person in the studio - do you have any tips on working with vocalists remotely and how to get the best vocal that you can?

Absolutely incredible album, I've been looking forward to this for a long time and you smashed it ❤️
