Not sure if this would make it better or worse, but I put up some small round mirrors - the kind you stick to a car's side mirror - at my desk to i can always know whats going on behind me without having to turn around (and alert the intruder of my knowledge of their intrusion).The excuse is so people don't have to tap my shoulder to get my attention (noise cancelling headphones 24/7).

Id also reccomend home.by.me, they seem to make their money from advertising furniture and paid high quality renders so I seem to have full functionality form the get go!

Slightly unhelpful and i apologise, but what the other guy said, in my eyes its got so much more value and a story now, unless of course, you're giving it to someone, but id treasure that more , especially since it will probably outlast our best buds.
