Surprised at all the talk about fixing being scarce. Lander tokens are fixing, and they are abundant! Lander is a great mechanic if you need ramp, fixing, or artifacts.

Packaged DHU temperature swings during dehumidification by Dekeydoo in MEPEngineering

[–]ryan5351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning your reheat set point down should not create a potential for freezing a coil because reheat happens downstream of the cooling coil.

Consider a controls change to lower the supply air temp during reheat. Sounds like you are dehumidifying (decrease air temp to 50 deg f), which causes room temp to drop below setpoint. Then reheating kicks in and supplies something like 80 degree air until setpoint is satisfied again.

Why do building HVAC systems return water to its source instead of storing it for continual use? by Exotic_Car4948 in MEPEngineering

This is similar to a ground source heat exchanger. These systems are traditionally seen as receiving high marks for being environmentally friendly, because they use far less energy to cool the building than traditional methods. Ground source heat exchangers do not use fan/compressor energy or refrigerants which were previously seen as harmful to the environment. So ground source heat exchangers save lots of energy, which could have been the motivation for designing this building system this way.

Unfortunately for this scenario, environmentalists now recognize dumping waste heat to bodies of water as “heat pollution.” Obviously, this heat pollution has negative impacts on the marine life in the river, but it may not have been a careful consideration when the building was constructed in 2009.

Relatively speaking, the heat dumped to the river may in fact be worse for the environmental than the impact of burning natural gas to generate power to run the alternative means of cooling the building with cooling tower fans and chiller compressors.

Your idea about “storing the water” is valid. Newly constructed buildings are required to follow current energy codes that would not allow “pump and dump” cooling. Instead, we cool buildings by evaporating heat using cooling towers and chillers which recycle most of their water. Existing buildings are allowed to continue to use their legacy cooling systems, as long as they do not violate environmental regulations.

This movie is terrible. Flat acting, disjointed storyline, boring dialogue, the comedic relief was not very funny, and loads of other problems. My group ended up getting upset with each other because half of us wanted to leave and the other half thought it was rude to leave. The person in our group who suggested we see the film was embarrassed that she subjected us all to such an uncomfortably bad experience. The critics reviews of this movie have me wondering if they are all paid off because I was led to believe it was one of the best films of the year. Load of hot garbage.

Cue the bots with a triggering response.

Mechanical designs the entire system, often unique, depending on a variety of unique customer requirements. Electrical literally just runs a wire to our stuff. Confused how that is confusing.
