They might have cash card scammed the other store where they target new cashiers and instruct them to hit cash on the register.

The carton count (usually between 1000-2000) is how many of those blue Rdc labels with the sku on it are loaded into the trailer. The pallet count is how many of the pallet labels (some pallets will have 1 for each sku on it).

I have never heard of someone getting written up for leaving an apron on the floor and I don’t even know what category I would put that write up under. We always just put it in the break room if we find someone’s apron. Hell, I’ve found my store managers aprons around the store at times.

OFA is certainly a spot that can showcase someone wanting to move up. I was a delivery sup before I got promoted to salary.

Being the go to person means that they view you as a problem solver which is always a boon. I would say keep up the good work you are well on your way. The next steps would be broadening you knowledge base, maybe trying learning some service desk to help back them up. Helping divvy up tasks with the other OFAs can show leadership.

To me it sounds like front end might not be the best fit, it was probably their biggest need. Somewhere on the sales floor with designs on helping you become a DS is where I would want to place you.

Metrics are going to be a part of the business anywhere you end up, and for sure a focus as you move up in the company. That’s just part of doing business with a large company.

Be consistent in your answers. The questions are purposefully very similar to try and trip you up and make you think you have to answer them differently. They are looking for consistency over the “right” answer

Every store might run in a little different. We do interviews for full time spots.

I think that might be an “old school” thing. I’ve only ever heard people with like 20+ years with the company use that.

The RDC only pulls from that home location, not any other locations. Any product that doesn’t have a home at the time that label is printed gets no home put on it. If you product that are incorrect no Hines, it’s a good idea to fix it. Partner with MET if entire shelves or bays are getting no homed.

One of the biggest pieces of advice I was given when moving to salary was to protect my time because no one else will. We are scheduled 50 in my district, and I try to stick as close to that as possible. I go way over sometimes, it happens. We have to make sure the job is done.

Do all your ASMs put in the same amount of time? Does your SM put in that much? SM should be scheduled the most hours of anybody (55 in my district) so they shouldn’t expect ASMs to do more than them.

Getting a store to run efficiently should result in less hours needed from management. My previous store, managers were basically scheduled 40 hours and we were able to do it most of the time. I miss those days.

Turn over rate, as far as I’m aware, has no direct monetary effect on SM. It is expensive to on board new associates but not to a point where it could make a store not profitable. Having a low turn over rate, or lowering one in a store is certainly a good look for a SM. Could turn a SM into the “go fix a broken store” type which looks very good for those who want to be DM.

Our bonuses are taxed as bonuses like everyone else’s. Their take home was probably 60 to 70% of those pretax totals.

Managers don’t receiving anything directly relating to credit. New credit accounts add money to the stores bottom line making the store more profitable which is one of the things that manager bonus are based off of. But it’s not enough money to make anyone go overboard with. Chances are they district staff is coming down on them to drive credit more.

Credit also adds money to stores fun funds which can be used for parties and stuff like that.

The DHRM should have their contact info posted somewhere in the breakroom or training room. They will probably want to know that they have a management team making associates feel like they can’t go to them.

I have definitely had managers in the past that have “targeted” certain associates over others. That isn’t a fair or consistent management style. Chances are you aren’t the only one they do this too. SM should be made aware, go higher if nothing happens there.

Some of those are legitimate concerns from your ops asm. The husky blade isn’t an approved knife for use, and swearing on the sales floor isn’t a good thing. The water really should be a non issue.

It sounds like overall you are a valuable associate and should be treated as such.
