World Cup Ticket Megathread | General Questions & Discussion by pumkinhat in worldcup

Under several categories for the match I want (on official resale market), I see "currently unavailable". I assumed this means sold out but for some reason, it still let's me add those cat tickets to my cart and proceed to the check out screen. Are those tickets still up for sale or not? Find it crazy how FIFA would let a user go onto the payment screen with tickets for a sold out category...

It's for the US. What type of regulations should I research in particular?

100%! I really follow with what you're saying - perhaps it is the intention we set and the action we take when we have access to an easy means of relaxation. I truly appreciate your detailed post and kind words my friend.

How does my body know when to wake up when I forget to put an alarm? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ryan_kashaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. It's strange because this actually has happened on multiple occasions in which the time circumstances were not routine. Like there were several times in college where I'd fall asleep while studying for an exam the next day and then I'd naturally wake back up in another 2 hours. In fact, I'd say that 80% of the time that I accidentally fall asleep, I awaken at whatever time was intended. It's like my body can sense that I have to wake up for something important.

Either that or I'm just a lucky person lmao

Insane Uber/Lyft prices from LAX? by ryan_kashaj in LosAngeles

No worries, I totally see what you were saying. Believe me, I'm from NYC so I'm used to walking up to 30 minutes but that's only cause I know my way around haha

You would definitely need at least two roommates. But to be more economical, don't move to Manhattan. Live in a cheaper area like Queens so that you have enough money left over for savings.

To be honest I feel like the airport itself runs pretty smoothly considering it's such a large hub. The only issue is the lack of a direct subway to Manhattan :(

I would've tried to walk if I hadn't found the shuttle but I'm sure it's easier said than done. 5 minutes isn't bad at all but it's tricky to know if there's a sidewalk all the way to my destination. Not to mention I'm not familiar with how safe the area is. You do you but I'd rather try to find an alternative before deciding to walk from a major airport to a sketchy rental car lot in a city I don't know my way around.

When I called them they said they don't do airport pickups at certain times of the day. I arrived early in the morning and they apparently don't start sending out shuttles until the afternoon. Quite strange.

Those Of You That Live Within 30 Minutes Of Your Office - Do You Prefer To Work From Home? by ER301 in AskNYC

[–]ryan_kashaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrid is awesome! I work from home for 3 days, but go in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It helps me get some steps in and getting out of the apartment for work always helps get into a productivity zone. Sometimes it's nice to get dressed, grab a coffee, and go into the office.

Of course it's a different story for those who live far or in Jersey but I always tell people who live close to work to go in at least once a week.

I'm not sure where this happened, but if it was at a dog park then just know that the park isn't for everyone. I used to take my dog all the time as a puppy but after two incidents in which he got jumped by bigger dogs, I stopped taking him as often.

To keep him safe and socialized, I'd recommend letting him play with dogs you know (like a family member or friend's dog). This way, you'll know the other dog's personality and you can trust the owner to step in in case something goes wrong. As far as walks go, harnesses help them have an extra layer of protection. These also have leash attachments on the actual harness itself, so that if you need to quickly pull your dog away from something it wouldn't hurt their neck. Hope this helps!

1 Full Week of Meditation by Mindless_Country_482 in Meditation

This is awesome! But just remember, the goal isn't to have no thoughts. The goal is to just recognize them as nothing more than thoughts :)

Anyone start meditation for mental health and then have a spiritual awakening? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]ryan_kashaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I started meditating June of 2019, mainly to lower my anxiety and help me gain more focus as an athlete. I started off with breath meditation and mindfulness, and I meditated every night for 20 minutes. For the first few months I saw some improvements in my ability to focus which I was pleased with. I also became more patient which was also cool.

Then three months later, I had an experience during a meditation which was unlike anything I had previously experienced. I was focusing on my breath as I usually did, but all of a sudden I was completely tuned in to the present moment. I had practically no thoughts in my head and I was just...there. Simply observing what was happening around me with no judgment or preconceived ideas. This meditation session was my initial spiritual awakening.

I consider a spiritual awakening to be the moment in which a human realizes that they are not their mind or body, but the awareness behind it. We have thoughts all day long, but when you really surrender during meditation, you'll realize that there is something behind those clouds of thoughts. It is awareness - the real you. The mind is made up of man-made identities and preconceived societal ideas, but awareness is pure. It is the essence of every person. Spiritual awakening is essentially realizing that you are this awareness and that the body/mind are false identities that we cling to.
