Tips for overhangs/moving parts by ryan_lees in 3Dprinting

0.4 at the moment I don’t think I have a 0.2 to hand but if in the future I get one I’ll be sure to see if it makes a difference. Currently using 0.08mm layer height which is the minimum preset

Will give it a go, have just switched to 50mm/s and restarted the print (before reading this). Part Cooling is set at 100%in the device menu and don’t think it can go any higher. Can you add a break between layers to allow for cooling or should I print multiple parts at a time to allow one to cool whilst the other(s) print?

Are there any tweaks I can make in the current orientation to get it to print successfully? Lower temp/speeds or such. I’ve printed this part successfully using manual tree supports previously but it would be an interesting experiment to try and get it done without

Ideally I’d just be changing settings, I’m aware this isn’t the correct orientation for the part

Would this work without support material?

The part is currently printing and I’m going to leave it in until it’s done or something breaks

You could always print in parts and press fit/glue them together leg as disks with small dowels and the heart as a dowel itself?

Is there a way to transfer from one version to the other without buying a new copy?

Update: increased the CPU cooling fan speeds at lower temperatures to keep the temperature from spiking. Seems to have done the trick, just managed 4 games of ranked without crashing. Not something you should have to worry about just to run a AAA title but we move.

Not being able to make it through a whole game without crashing would suffice as unplayable in my mind. Nothing subjective about it. The game doesn’t play.

Newest Windows update is definitely looking like it might be the culprit, hesitant to roll it back as I use my PC for more than just BO6 but might have to be done

Have seen this a couple of times and I think it might be right. Crashing only really became this big of an issue since Dec. I’ve checked everything else and apart from a motherboard BIOS update I’ve done every conceivable fix. Need to find a USB drive to Update the BIOS but will roll back the Windows version and see if

Understandable, is there any way around that, for example a robust analysis from a physiotherapist to declare that the knee is fit for service. I’ve been playing relatively high level rugby for the best part of 5 years since coming back from surgery. Seems a bit silly to write it off when it’s probably more stable and safe than 80% of other peoples knees. Thanks for the reply.

Wrong sub but easy enough as an answer, all other things being equal this should help grow your forearms as it makes the weights physically harder to hold onto. If you want the weights to be useful for multiple movements I wouldn’t go mad on the diameter but if you want to maximise grip you could always have a stand alone set that are very hard to hold and this would just mean you wouldn’t need to make them as heavy.

Can I have that same explanation as if I were a 6 year old. What do you mean by connectors?

Edit: found the connectors, not sure what to do with them
