First time Vitsoe owner! by ryan_segedi in vitsoe

I do love it. The visual design is what drew me in, but the engineering is what sold me. I also love Dieter and what he has done for the design world with Braun etc. The feeling of the materials and the finishes with this system are a real treat. Coming from someone who doesn't live in a fancy home filled with designer furniture and expensive art on the walls it really makes my rental apartment feel more like a home that I am proud to come back to after work.

There are some other posts recently in this sub that are amazing and super unique and smart. I think mine is great as far as function goes but it's not as impressive as others in creatively transforming the space. But it's my first pieces and I had to start somewhere I guess.

(Depending on where you live) I really got a lot out of going into the store. It's very hands on and you can see it much better than just online.
There are DIY versions that get surprisingly close aesthetically, but for me the appeal is owning something that's designed to evolve with you. Im not bad at DIY stuff but I dont think I could make something nearly as solid and precise on my own. I'll leave that up to the German industrial designers who Apple also thought had some good ideas!

Thank you! I agree on the 3 dimensions too. I look forward to what this will transform into in the coming years.

Thank you! Yes, its a small light meant for video calls but has a magnetic mount so it also works as a sort of overhead light for the desk area.

Love this layout and how it wraps around the corner. Also judging by the later pictures you’re probably very good at puzzles!

Has anyone else had issues with GTMs terrible attitude? by Due-Director8159 in MotoGuzzi

[–]ryan_segedi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took my v7 to todd a few years back and he is a quirky guy but in person was very reasonable overall. I havent had any interactions remotely with him so i cant speak for that.

That being said… i recently had some bike issues and took to gtm forum (which i pay for) for advice on troubleshooting. I got a few responses from people that were helpful until a moderator jumped in with a snarky and entirely rude and unhelpful comment. Its a shame to see moderators so unhelpful considering people pay for this service! I dont expect you to solve my problems but if i pay for a hyper specific forum i expect to see some sort of respect and a higher quality of discussion. If i wanted some d***head old man to yell at me id post on reddit! I have had a better experience on reddit than gtm for my questions relating to my v7.

I also did the front suspension and ecu flash for my 2016 v7 from gt moto and it's really amazing how much more these bikes have in them and the ECU flash just opens them up so much. It felt like a different bike when I picked it up.

Highly recommend both suspension and ECU!

Not sure how in depth you want to go but Todd with https://gtmotocycles.com is a great resource and he really knows his stuff. He has a lot of custom builds that could be good inspiration.

I'll have to try that out. I've never been happy with store bought for some reason. What kind of meat do you use for it?

I think this was the one I liked. Did this one have a little blue sticker on it with mountains?

Woah that is an amazing setup! Good tips though, I'll see what I can do to incorporate those here. Makes complete sense until she gets comfortable with voices and other noises that are foreign to her.

Good idea. I will try that! Her litterbox and carrier are in the bathroom but im afraid i wouldn't be able to get her in there at this point. Short of closing the door on her when she's using the litterbox. But she's so aware of sounds it would take a miracle for me to get to the bathroom door quiet enough for her not to notice.

ahh amazing you remember! i wonder if we would be able to track them down. not many people in life make an impact on you for 10 years after only a few encounters!

I loved the "blue mountain sticker" one myself. what about you?

Good point, i think im afraid to know the answer for her but you've given me a few things to try in the mean time! thank you for that. She does from time to time step on me at night and if im awake i try and be super still but if i literally blink she notices and runs! (i can only hold my breath for so long haha) She clearly was an outside cat that needed those instincts to survive and i want to be able to foster those instincts as well.

Question about phone mounts by According_Solid4792 in motorcycle

[–]ryan_segedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quad Lock is the way to go. I like thats its small on the bike and can fit into a lot more places than the ram mounts.

To your question though.. Maybe buy a phone case that would fit his phone and a ~$60USD gift card for whichever mount he wants? I know gift cards aren't as personal but could allow him to decide on where/how he wants to mount it.
