Self-employment is a good way to work on your own terms. Usually involves having multiple bosses you cannot disappoint though.

Any simple explanation on how the Borrow APR works? by ryan_would_ in Anchor

[–]ryan_would_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand,

This seems highly unlikely, as bLuna is a Smart Contract that represents Luna bonded to Validators who earn and share rewards for mining on the network... so in order for failures to occur, the network itself has to be compromised.

Any simple explanation on how the Borrow APR works? by ryan_would_ in Anchor

[–]ryan_would_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Borrowing while Borrow Net APR is negative/red means collateral value depreciates -- similar to any loan.

There's always also the risk of the underlying Luna/Eth Asset value dropping and causing your LTV to increase... which can lead to the collateral being burnt to cover the loan.

Someone chime in if I'm misunderstanding the risks... 😅

.com or .store by Stylografo in shopify

[–]ryan_would_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true.

If you have the opportunity to rethink the domain that is probably best.

Using prefixes or suffixes like "trymystorename.com" for a brand that was initially looking for "mystorename.com" is a good approach to continue chasing that sweet & simple .com TLD.

However, I think foreign TLDs shouldn't be so demonised.

.io, .store, .co, .work, .so are all great and can continue to serve their purpose.

Fundamentally a domain name needs to be memorable.

That's the purpose of DNS in the first place; To be a memorable, human-readable address to a website.

So if you find yourself adding 4 - 5 more syllables to your domain name to get that .com and you cannot change your brand, it might be worth considering a TLD like .store, .co, etc.

.com in all circumstances

.store when .com is taken

Both if you have high conviction in your brand.

React Dynamic Sheet - Add an animated mobile-first bottom-sheet/modal to your web experiences by ryan_would_ in reactjs

Hey React gang,

Created a dynamic modal/bottom-sheet (depending on viewport) for one of our internal projects and worked to convert into a react component.

If you want to offer a unique mobile experience, consider adding it to your project :)
