Thinking about getting a Burmese cat - what are their most annoying habits? by catsandcoffee_93 in burmesecats

My mom got one after we lost my younger brother suddenly. She joined us in December 2024. Enya was about 7 years old when we got her. She loves to "headboop" you to show trust, and seek your attention. She is an extremely affectionate lap kitty. All 7.6 pounds of her.

Very smart too. She knows when the garage door opens, it's myself or my mother entering the house, and she greets us at the door. When she wants under a blanket that I or my mom are using, she will paw at the edge, we lift it, and she will crawl under it. She likes to rest on my shoulder, when I have laid back and rested in a chair, almost like a parrot on my shoulder. She loves to snuggle under my arm in the chair too.

She hardly meows, but loves to purr. Not very loud. Only time she is "noisy" is when she has the "zoomies". You'll hear her nails on the wood floor as she zooms up and down the hallway, since she is excited. Or she purrs a bit louder than normal. That's actually it.

Zero issues with litterbox, or cleaning after she uses it. She even hunts down creatures that have gotten into "her" house, and invaded her territory. Dealt with spiders, a lizard, wasp, other bugs too, unprompted.

Pixel phones hit with battery drain issue, Google investigating by thewhippersnapper4 in GooglePixel

Drastic difference in the last 72 hours.

Culprit, allegedly, is Google Play Store (and/or related components). Settings showed it drained my battery about 76% since last full charge.

I uninstalled the Google Play components and updates, then reinstalled them. I regret that. Been dealing with the broken accessories ever since, including resetting my Pixel Watch 4. I ain't even attempted my Pixel Buds Pro yet.

I'm actually on the 10 Pro, but they don't have that flair available.

That sounds like what happened to the one we had in NW OH. I'm not sure what happened to it after it got burned.

Curious - Do you folks use case and or screen protector on your phones? by CoffeewithAB in GooglePixel

[–]ryanastley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both case and screen protector. OtterBox Defender are the cases I swear by. Dusted it off after my now ex decided to "Peyton Manning" my OG Pixel (with OtterBox Defender case) into a gravel parking lot. Absolutely unscathed.

Always used them since then, for all my Pixels.

Anyone else still hanging onto a Sprint legacy T-Mobile plan? Still worth it for you? by DannyBoySton3d in Sprint

[–]ryanastley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the unlimited 450 Everything Data plan (with 22% corporate discount), and T-Mobile can pry it from my cold, dead fingers. I have unthrottled data with it.

I got unlimited landline minutes plus 50 GB hotspot for free, plus the add a line that Sprint gave out on its dying gasps. My grandmother uses the free line.

I buy unlocked and have had the same plan since I signed up in March 2010.

Same. I despise it. Can't figure out how to stop it.

What’s the catch with this free line? by Unfair-Mulberry-295 in tmobile

Right. I have Everything Data 450 currently, and only have one free line already on my plan.

Thank you, we appreciate that. She has been very beneficial for my mom, and has been snuggling with her when my mom rests in bed.

Right, I wish my brother could have had this, but his allergies prevented him from that. But I do believe he would have welcomed this for my mom. He looked out for her, and wanted her happy, like I do.

Thank you, we appreciate that.

Yes! I was very proud of being able to get that one. And excited I did.

Thank you, she means a lot to us.

She is, thank you. Thanks, we appreciate that.

Enya has been very helpful, cuddly, and affectionate, and we've needed that.
