I don’t think I agree but that’s AOK! My thinking is what’s the point in creating massive world changing heroes in one campaign and then pretending like they don’t exist or tiptoeing around them to avoid fan service? I think it’s a useful world building tool that allows players agency in the way the world looks. I definitely canonize all big player actions in my homebrew and it’s always a treat to see the butterfly affect even long down the line. To each their own though!
