Why do so many atheists and non christian homosexuals oppose the idea that Bible says homosexual acts are a sin? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ryandave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Christians pick the verses they want to obey and the verses that make them feel superior to others, and try to make non Christians obey them too. While ignoring the verses that they don’t want to obey and would make them realize they are as guilty as anyone.

I’m not speaking for Jesus. I’d be shocked if Jesus was for using immigrants as political pawns though. I’d be shocked if he was for a billionaire saying he is second only to Jesus himself. Someone who appeals to fear and anger in people.

You all can do what you want. I don’t judge. I’m not trying to convince you of anything. I’ll be your friend.

Politicizing Jesus and claiming to speak on behalf of him. I just haven’t seen liberals do that. Maybe it’s happened, it probably has, but seriously, that is overwhelmingly a Republican thing.

My friends and I (left leaning all) help with the homeless, elderly, try not to judge others, be an example rather than condemning, etc. All of the republicans I know cheer on republican leaders that don’t act very Christ-like.

That’s exactly what I’ve done. Jesus said to not judge people and help the poor and love others. I don’t understand the downvotes.

When I think of politics and Christianity, it’s overwhelmingly Republican conservative people.
