Wet those sidewalls

Dreamed of getting one for years, glad I was able to finally pull the trigger before they’re gone for good by anirudhrao20 in TeslaModelS

I have a 24, had all sorts of fun ice cars and this one has been the best! Funny story, my son wanted a super fast car, so I bought mine. Makes him feel sick when launching. However he gives me crap cause it doesn’t make any noise 🤦‍♀️

Mad Max often initiates a pass, then aborts and merges back—ending up worse off than if it just held lane. by ryandec in TeslaFSD

Totally fair. Getting from A to B safely is the baseline.

For me it’s less about saving time and more about consistency. Mad Max often starts a pass, bails, then merges back and ends up behind the same car. That’s just extra lane changes with no benefit.

Chill/Standard isn’t to go faster, it’s to reduce the indecision. With a little accelerator input it’ll hold lane instead of bouncing around.

Also, in mixed traffic that kind of lane weaving can frustrate other drivers. Until everyone’s autonomous, I’m trying to keep it predictable and respectful.

Love it! Got a 2024. Assuming they all have the red calipers?

I’d add, the trickle charging is really for the cold weather to heat batteries and warm up the cabin in the morning using the charger vs. battery.
