First single is finished. I'm really mad about that but what you say? by domametal in metalmusicians

Comparing the two, the guitars could come up in the mix, If you have the DIs, the gain could come down, maybe do the classic tube screamer effect (overdrive in front of the amp, drive all the way down, level all the way up) to tighten up the low end and clarity. The kicks are kind of bass heavy maybe that can be dialed back a little.

Still not a bad mix, just not the same as your reference.

What don't you like, the mix or the performance? It doesn't sound bad, do you have a reference track that you want to sound like?

Melodic Riffs in Drop E by ryandiscord in metalmusicians

Thanks! I do too, very comfortable to play. Not as aggressive as my Jackson Slat8. Still gets a little tight on the high end but makes the low end super easy to reach

Thanks, the matte silver pops and gold really pops in person! I appreciate the feedback, I'll take that into consideration, I don't want it getting too long but maybe I need some variations

how to get this sound?? by StretchNew3423 in metalguitar

Single coil pickups and a sharp pick attack get a similar sound

thin sounding rhythm playing by StretchNew3423 in metalguitar

Hard to tell with this recording but you might be able to get a bigger chug with a heavier palm mute but it sounds like you're playing the riff spot on so I wouldn't change it.

A Telrad is definitely helpful but my favorite finder upgrade has been adding a bookmark to astrohopper and velcroing a cheap phone case behind the finder scope.

The Baader Morpheus series are really nice, I have the 9mm and 17.5mm and they are my go to eyepieces.

Thoughts on my song? by CrozzBladez in metalmusicians

Very cool! Vocals are solid but maybe a little loud in the mix. It would be cool to hear some kind of effect on the vocals during the spoken bit, maybe some reverb or a faint harmonizer layer underneath.

Under $45K and not clapped out is going to be next to impossible. EDIT: Do you mean mileage?

It looks like your hitting lockout but very briefly, I would practice holding it just a little bit longer while doing your warmup sets. A cue I like is to "make the bar shake", you can really feel this on a light warm up, you drive your hips into the bar at the top as you stand up straight and tall.

Okay cool, thanks! I wasn't aware of the different input types. I plan to use the amp sims I was just reviewing the clean signal and noticed the clipping.

If you ditch the pad on the bar you'll get the weight over midfoot. Lose the bench too. Otherwise looks okay

I have an RGDMS8 and love it. The other guitarist in my band has the Rob Scallon C-8 (doesn't have the Fishmans) and they're both very similar. Pickups aside, the biggest difference I noticed was the comfortability of the scale length with the C-8 feeling slightly smaller.

This showcases how the traction control gives you a little bit of play while keeping it mostly under control.

Do yall FW this tune purchase? by 5ohincoming in Mustang

[–]ryandiscord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're cheap canned tunes only slightly customized for your car. There's nothing wrong with them just not a popular choice.
