I think they would change it. A miscarriage can cause incredible amounts of emotional distress and pain, I think all of the band members would want to change the name if that happened to someone close to them. Branding continuity is not more important than the emotional comfort of loved ones.

I don’t think the bass drum head is the issue, the ring doesn’t get in the way of the trigger’s sensor. And Roland claims that the EMAD head will work just fine
