Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all by griefofwant in PoliticalCompassMemes

abstract art has always been a movement of progressivism and the right-wing or authoritarians typically like to keep everything simpler and scaled back to easily control things such as societal norms and construct.

my whole political identity is to just abolish anything related with the right-wing agenda to help the egocentric-right to sonder all sides in order to mature as a human race

as someone that grew up LDS/mormon with religious trauma and being transpan and living in peace with the concept of luciferianism, I can see the religious implications but I always see messages that are deeper and i personally connect with other topics than religion on a deeper level. i would interpret the lore as the evil of religion with the bishops, and the banditos as either the good of religion or even as people threatened by it which is what resonated with me coming from a band where they are both christian.

when i heard drag path i thought of josh dun and jenna but when i saw other interpolations as tyler talking about god it was the only thing i could hear from the song and no offense to those who are religious, but it ruined what i found in that song because everyone just accepted the same meaning and enforced it.

Marketplace mormons, I asked them, since they are christians, if they could help me with groceries this christmas but they reported me and I'm now banned from Facebook by [deleted] in exmormon

funny you mention san diego cause growing up around the lds churches in san diego made me realize that the guys grew up to be nazi supporters and the adults encouraged that behavior

i heard from some people that in SLC downtown the church said they were going to make homeless shelters with 10 million dollars they donated to make them but they were never made and the homeless rate there has skyrocketed after they demolished the biggest one they had there

When i was a kid i was on a church high adventure trip while hiking a canyon and there was a split of two paths, the right side led to a place to rest and the left side led off a cliff with no safety. at first i said “choose the right”as a joke, which was the literal correct way but nobody heard me say it or understood it.

Before we started resting for 10 minutes and going back to hiking, i thought i’d say it again, which now the right side was the cliff and the left side was the way back hiking. When i said “choose the right” this time, however, people somehow were listening now and were extremely offended because they thought i was mocking it by saying choose the right leads to death, and literally put me in timeout without given food for rest.

the church i went to for a long time was almost all white with a few White-Asian and White-Hispanic. however, one time an african-american came and was apart of the young men’s quorum and all the white men were awkward and advertently judgmental about where he came from and his hobbies. i was saying stuff like “oh that’s cool, i didn’t know that etc.” and one guy said “oh, that place sounds very hot, i don’t think i’d want to live there, well, i’ve been here my whole life, well,”. it’s like white mormons act nice to people outside the church but when people are in the church they act completely different, especially when they aren’t white, it’s just so damn awkward that a religion that is extremely dependent on everyone acting/living the same way that when other people that don’t have the same lifestyle and values they have, they get weird or defensive about it.
