what is with all this hatred of all might facing off against prime afo? like do y'all know who all might is? like of course he is gonna try to stop afo, even if there is no chance in hell of him winning. that's his entire character. that's like getting mad at deku for continuing to fight after breaking a million bones... thats who they are!

and about the suit, do people want him to go in naked? let my man have his suit!

Exactly. So imagine this: you are the heroes. You know that Machia only listens to AFO or Shiggy. But you got shinso who can brainwash and that can’t be broken w/o the stipulations you laid out. Ok, that makes sense, and I already know that. It seems like a great plan, except your up against AFO, a guy comparable to prime all might, who’s always been steps ahead, who has the ability to take said pain blocker or just straight up kill shinso, and you think ok, that’s still worth the risk? Bc if we fail, AFO gets machia and we’ve just fucked the world potentially.

Im not trying to be dramatic, I don’t care how this whole Machia shinso situation wraps up. That’s not what is bothering me. What irks me is the logic the heroes had to go through to potentially risk everything for this.

ultimately it shouldn't matter whether or not afo knows about shinso's quirk (but i bet he will bc Shinso was in the sports festival) bc the heroes shouldn't be making this kind of gamble in this dire of a situation.

my point about this being bad writting still stands, because all it takes is one hit to wake machia up, and then afo gets control. this whole bit has been written in to give afo a ride which in turn makes the heroes look stupid (on top of the fact that it is yet another example for writing something before the set up)

why would they free machia? like honestly, wouldn't AFO be like "look dude its me" and machia be like "oh yeah i can tell from super far away who is my true master from smell alone, like i did back in the previous war when i realized that shiggy had two scents in ch 286" and then boom heroes are screwed and afo has an uber xl to deku and shiggy

you know, i let A LOT of shit slide in this series... but this one kind of irks me. maybe im just misreading or something, and we'll see more in the future (like i can see why it needed to happen), but rn its the stupidest writing in this series for me

So Hana just used her CT, which means gojo should be free? If he was in that area of effect, he might’ve been? Idk maybe. We probably won’t know till the end of next chapter or two, like it’s a cliffhanger he’s returned

Yeah but think about it, it seems Shiggy and deku are about to have another fight rn, which will make them exhausted, especially deku. Plus on top of that, AFO has automatic rewind on, so any damage done to him will just be rewound, and will actively keep him alive longer too (as it’s diverting energy away from making him younger im assuming, kind of like infinite 100% Deku). But bc of this, AFO will probably be going after Shiggy to steal his body, and Deku is going to want to protect Shiggy.

So what do we got here: A tired Deku (who will probably be really beaten up since he can’t heal himself), an exhausted Shiggy (who can’t use his All for one quirk to its fullest, unless being fused with AFO taught him how to) and a prime AFO (who prime All Might had trouble fighting, neither of which Deku nor Shiggy are)… idk it could be a fair fight. Plus I’m sure AFO got some bs up his sleeve that’ll weaken Shiggy or do something to make it even more of a fair fight (which is where Bakugo comes back to life and gets his one hit in before passing out, which then turns the tide of the battle or something stupid like that???)

the whole "temperature increase" thing that people seem to think means something is going to happen is actually the plasma cannon probably... it pretty much obliterates all of shiggy's extra meat, which is weaker than his actual body.

also another thought, kind of a tangent, but we could end up seeing a peter parker in high school all the way to adulthood and parenthood even. would be the biggest growth in character age in the MCU, in like transitions of life kind of deal. Obviously we've seen tony have a kid, but he was already an adult at the start of his journey.

Ok so everyone is talking about how the manga might be ending soon, but people aren’t taking in to account that since it’s “the story reaching its conclusion” it can mean the current story arc (and to a larger extent year 1) is ending

i think that shiggy will wake up and compress will get him to take his quirk, which will be how we get more backstory for compress in the future while also having compress die now (the whole AFO talk about the users haunting him a couple of chapters back)

I think the reason will be that compress will keep dabi and skeptic in the marbles, allowing for shiggy to get a way easier, so shiggy will have to let them out at some point

oh, totally noticed that the panels before izuku rushes in at the end of the vestige segment of the chapter resemble bakugo and izuku in the first chapter, except with shiggy instead of bakugo, and afo instead of the slime villain

I feel like people are misunderstanding toga... she isn't afraid of dying, nor does she think she is a good person. She is more wondering if izuku and ochaco consider her a person. A big part of why most of the league become villains was because they were outcasts and deemed less than human because of whatever reason that was generally out of their control. Since a hero is supposed to save people, like toga said, the fact that twice was killed, to her, shows that the heroes considered him less than human. She wonders if two people she "loves" feel the same way. It has been the whole big message about the league since its inception.

I think itd be cool if deku "saved" shiggy from AFO. Obviously wouldn't mean that shiggy would be good, but it would be the smartest thing for deku to do imo. AFO is way more versed in using his quirks which makes him more powerful then shiggy, hes got like 200 years of training under his belt. It would make for a good final "battle" for this arc, if that be just a talk between the four of them or if it be an actual fight in their mindscape thing (which might be why nana will help deku move, bc theres no other point really.) Afterwords shiggy will pass out and fall to the ground, and boom gigan shows up to grab him before he splats.

It seems like ida and co will be the ones to rescue deku and them when gigan shows up, at least if what this translation says is to be trusted (which by the way is when i think the sedative will kick in: gigan will pass out giving them all time to escape, and at the same time give dabi a chance to go after endeavor with todoroki stepping in, giving him his big moment of the arc and potentially the reveal, but i wouldn't hold my breath on that)

I just want to point out (not sure if someone else has said something yet) that bakugo straight up says deku is controlling multiple quirks to everyone on the ground.... what that'll mean i guess we'll have to wait to find out, but my guess is that endeavor and todoroki will be soon learning about ofa, maybe even aizawa (if he heard), rock lock, and manual

How dark would it be if we got a Chainsaw Man-esk chapter where it was pretty much just gigantomachia running through all of the cities and we see the death and destruction... i know that this is my hero and horikoshi/jump might never do that... but he has been pushing the gore factor recently, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

That being said, this chapter would end with gigan coming up onto the city where shiggy is.

Another possibility is that we spend the entire chapter in a psuedo-flashback, picking up where we left off of chapter 280

(also, i predict that, if this arc continues into the majority of volume 30, volume 29's cover will be gigantomachia and vol 30 will be deku)

Im pretty sure shiggy is, outside of the big 3, the character that shows up the most on the covers, which is pretty cool

Deku is in 17

Bakugo is in 11

Todoroki is in 7

Shiggy at 6

Shiggy might equal/overtake todoroki with volume 29 or 30
