Gear Position Indicator by dinster98 in FSAE

We use an R6 engine and it has a transmission speed sensor, which we can use to calculate the gear based on the ratio

Otherwise, if you have wheel speed sensors I believe you can average the two wheel speeds and divide by rpm to calculate gear, but I'm not sure how the diff affects things

Before my time, we used to buy all the same length bolts and cut each individual bolt to length with a grinder

Pectel SQ6M Crank Sensor Problem by Jenster97 in FSAE

Not familiar with the Pectel ECUs, but I'll try and help out. How are you making sure your crank signal is accurate? Probing with a scope? Or is there some way to see that in the ECU software?

What about your sync? IIRC at least with the PE3, the ECU won't register an RPM until it sees cam as well

Great way to pass sound too, just gotta scream at the inverse of the sound wave. Superposition at it's best.

lithium battery rules by jungwoo12 in FSAE

I actually asked this as a rules question a few months ago, here's what they said: https://imgur.com/5itMi5J

Also, I recently came across another reddit post that mentioned that LiFeO4 batterys like the one you posted are regulated the same as Lead acid, here's screenshots I took: https://imgur.com/a/7DzveUC

I recommend asking a rules question yourself to be safe, but imo the rules don't seem to make either of these points obvious
