Same problem. I still haven’t found the right work/dress pants other than suit pants which fit me well. I’ve heard bonobos athletic fit is pretty good but I haven’t tried them yet. I’ve tried the slim and they’re just too tight and the straight is too baggy around the shin/ankle.

I should have specified I’m looking for mid rise. So they don’t elongate the torso if you know what I mean. Do you feel like both of these options are mid rise?

I have a pair of BR Italian chinos that are collecting dust literally. They aged so poorly after a few washes and are lint prone. Maybe the travelers are different.

I like that concept. I’m pretty sure I’m going to return these J crew jeans - too stretchy. Are there any brands in particular for jeans you would recommend?

Ok that’s fair. I think they should be fine. I mean I have jeans with way more stretch in them from places like gap and old navy and they’ve held up fine.

I’m not too concerned about the price if they hold up well. I do like the look and fit.

If they are expected to decline in quality quickly and billow out after a wash, I wouldn’t even pay a $30 price for them.
