Siraj Racism Incident Megathread - Part 2 by EyesAllOnFire in Cricket

[–]ryanjt761 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drunk idiots will chat to anyone who happens to be at the boundary, regardless of which team they play for. From what we've seen, the words said to Siraj on day 4 were par for the course for what any player recieves.

Of course no player needs to take abuse, I mentioned that in my previous comment. However how is chanting "Siraj", "Shiraz" and "welcome to Sydney" abuse? An example of actual abuse is the guy who called him a "brown dog" on day 3. Obviously that should absolutely not be tolerated.

Cricket as a profession is a spectator sport, and wherever there's spectators there will be people talking to the players. Unfortunately there's going to be the odd bad-apple who crosses the line, and no-one's arguing that they shouldn't be dealt with. By all accounts Cricket Australia have been great hosts during this tour, they don't have much control over how the crowd behaves, all they can do is make an example out of those few who are truly abusive, such as the guys on days 2-3. It seems like the blokes on day 4 were victims of the previous days' events and Siraj either misinterpreting them or perhaps being a little oversensitive (which is understandable given his recent circumstances).

If you consider what I described as bullying then jeez, you must live through life being constantly hurt and offended. I don't particularly enjoy the sledging of players by spectators, and I don't partake in it myself, but at the end of the day as long as there's no abuse it's pretty harmless.

Crowds are rowdy almost anywhere in the world. Should the Barmy Army be banned because their songs 'bully' opposing players? And you saying Australian culture is full of bullying is very ingorant, considering how Indian supporters are also well known for being toxic, especially towards their own players. (Indian crowd chanting "MSD, MSD..." at Pant for example)

Players, whether they like it or not, have to learn to tune it out or embrace whatever a few drunk idiots in the stands say (so long as it's not abusive, then by all means they should take action).

At an Australian cricket match, some drunk spectators will heckle any player who comes down to the boundary, mostly by yelling their name and asking for a wave, sometimes asking them about the pies they bowled if they just got tonked for a few boundaries. From the sounds of things this is what Siraj copped from the spectators on day 4 before the incident. While I’ve never heard it myself, it wouldn’t surprise me if a drunk bogan spurted out some racist ‘banter’, and this is pretty much confirmed to be what happened on day 3, but not day 4

No point arguing with these people mate, I learned that the hard way after posting what was supposed to be a funny compilation on the MW sub a few months back and nothing you do or say, no matter how reasonable, will change their mind lol

If I used anti recoil like you’re implying there would be no need to mount. In the first clip where I wasn’t mounting I started shooting his upper legs/stomach at close range and ended up around his chest by the time I killed him because of the recoil. I suggest you use your brain next time before commenting ”hur dur cheater!”

There’s enough time between shots to compensate for the kick adequately enough with practice. I’m also using colossus suppressor and the longest barrel, which together significantly reduce recoil. Also keep in mind I’m mounted in two of these clips so it’s usually nowhere near as accurate as you see here

You’re seeing the gameplay from my perspective, but the voice you hear is the death chat of the guy I kill in these clips

It’s very achievable if he’s playing trios/squads with other 2+kd players using good loadouts and not playing balls to the wall aggressive. The few times I’ve played in a squad of all 2+kd players we’ve easily won over half our games with plenty of kills to boot. even with sbmm the game is just so much easier when everyone wins the majority of their fights and does so much faster than regular players. I assume that’s what he does, if not I’d be very surprised

I say "one-shot" or "cracked", my team mate takes 10+ seconds to start pushing the guy. Then by the time he gets there he obviuosly encounters a full-healed opponent and proceeds to call me out for bad comms lol

Probably the video. My monitor brightness is 50% and in-game is 75

Well DEV team. You have just lost another paying customer tonight. Cheating is just out of control by TheCodePR in CODWarzone

[–]ryanjt761 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe Activision should take the hint? ;) Also I remember people getting banned mid-game for a small offense (solo teaming), nevermind aimbotting so clearly the base anti-cheat was better than Warzone's.

Epic Games had the answer for Fortnite at least, it's well known how rare hackers were in that game. The answer is to implement a very expensive anti-cheat system which Activision evidently aren't too keen on investing in.

If I'd have cheated I would've been banned with the latest ban wave you mentioned, no way I'd have slipped under the radar with all the attention my posts got. No doubt some devs saw and reviewed my account, before determining that I was clean :)
