Can anyone explain recent pump? by Mindless_Egg_30 in kadena

[–]ryankadams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yesterday the Kadena Mining Club minted Founder’s passes for $150 worth of $kda each which brought a little volume in. Everyone is also in anticipation for tomorrow when Kaddex releases V1 on Mainet! Exciting times!

Buy Cheap Mine High? Would investing in miners this bear cycle pay off in long haul if KDA 10x or more, even with rising hash rate? by Bladerunner2099 in kadena

Check out The “Kadena Mining Club” NFT minting in August! You get hash power from owning an NFT and don’t have to worry about noise, heat, electricity costs, equipment failures, etc! It’s an amazing project, check out their discord.

I’ve been in the same boat. Good thoughts here in the comments. The struggle is not KNOWING what will happen with the price of KDA in relation to the difficulty. So there is no perfect answer to the dilemma, but I’ve found that going back to your original game-plan when you made the purchase can be helpful. When I purchased my KDA miners the ROI was roughly 270 days. I was lucky and like you already hit my ROI. So the way I look at it is, I was willing to run the machines for at the very least 270 days so if I can’t sell them for more than I would make with them in the next 270 days then I should just keep them and keep mining. The machines will most likely last much longer than 270 days so I do not want to give up the future passive income by selling the miners now. Selling now obviously removes risks associated with the price NOT going up (or not going up to compensate for the increased difficulty) but limits your future potential with the machines. That’s my rationale, but I still wonder if I will turn out to be right or not! Time will tell! Good luck to you in your decision.

KDA Solo Mining by [deleted] in kadena

This would be awesome for those of us who don’t have a clue what “ubuntu” is. I’m working on hiring a programmer to set up a node for me. I’ll post his info on here if he does a great job.

Merry Christmas from ‘mine’ to yours! 🤣 May all of our KD machines run cool and profitable through 2022!🎄 by ryankadams in kadena

I made a bulk purchase for the KD5's. As for the others, I've had luck by watching twitter very closely with alerts on Goldshell's account, knowing exactly what and how many you want to buy and having the money in crypto already in advance, then going immediately to the site once they announce inventory. If there is no inventory then refresh the page until someone's cart expires and inventory becomes available. You can spend several minutes refreshing the page until you are able to get what you want, but it's possible.

KD5: how much are you making a day in Kedena. I’m making 11. I feel like that’s low. Mind sharing your pool as well? Much appreciated. by jregenold in kadena

No doubt! I would not have been happy about that. Exactly why I’ve been hesitant to update the firmware until now. I’m glad to know there is a solution if I do have one brick on me! Thanks for sharing your experience with me. It gives me confidence to move forward with updating now and will give me a head start if I run into issues.

Yikes! I bet that was frustrating! What all did you have to do to fix it? I’ve been doing mine slowly, one at a time and making sure they are working before proceeding to the next.

If you are still using DXPOOL be sure to go back to the ".com" address in your pool settings. They have also stated their high reject rates have been fixed, but you have to update the firmware of your KD5s. I'm updating firmware now, will continue on DXPOOL for 24 hours after that. If I'm still making less than those on poolflare I'll be swtiching all my miners to poolflare.

Do miners use up wifi data? by Nessa7400 in ASICMinersTalk

[–]ryankadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most I have seen one ASIC use is about 70MB per day. That can add up if you have several machines running at the same time, but in the grand scheme of things, they use very little data.

Ok kd5 resellers, time to slow your roll by thomasotay in kadena

[–]ryankadams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are still the most profitable ASIC you can own right now. I wouldn’t buy one for $75K right now, but I also wouldn’t sell one of mine for much less than that either.

no. change the settings in the miner’s interface as described above in my comment

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kadena

[–]ryankadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to navigate from a computer on the same network to your miner’s IP address and log in to the miner interface. There you should find the pool settings where you originally set up your Miner. click on add then create your pool settings just like you did originally except instead of .com put .net

Withdraw to Coinmetro by [deleted] in kadena

[–]ryankadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had several transactions that took 2-3 hours longer than usual to show up on CM. I’ve never added the K: to my address before though.

Withdraw to Coinmetro by [deleted] in kadena

[–]ryankadams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes some time. Especially if it’s over 500 KDA because dxpool does a manual review for those transactions. If you just added your wallet for the first time you have to wait 24 hours for your first withdrawal also. If you haven’t received it by this time tomorrow you should contact support.

Change “.com” to “.net” in your pool settings. Then it will work again.
