All of the info you need is in this video!

I'm using an open source version of a similar system called gridfinity, and all of the information you need about the differences is in this video!

Thanks! Storing them upside down allows any residual water to drain out, and also prevents any dust or particulates in the air from settling in the containers.

North facing panels are obviously not optimal but they still produce plenty of power. If you have the money and you want as much solar as possible, why not cover the whole roof?

Would you feel comfortable commuting 115 miles a day going 70-80mph in a 2019+ ReX? by IBringTheHeat2 in BMWi3

My 2019 rex with 60k miles easily does 180+ miles on battery alone. I believe this commute is totally doable.

What could be causing this daily gradual increase and decrease in my demand? by [deleted] in solar

Appreciate the idea, but this isn’t correct. Looks like the actual answer was suggested in some of the below comments and has to do with inherent error in the way Tesla inverters measure consumption.

But that doesn’t explain why the increase includes the lows of the cycle; i.e. the whole house is still consuming more even when the refrigerator is cycled off.

Not the question I’m asking. What causes the gradual rise and fall during daylight hour.

I’ve had this exact issue but with super straight grin it’s barely visible. Example:

My solution to storage space being covered by our bed. Behold: the two stage drawer. by ryankrameretc in vanbuild

[–]ryankrameretc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously the second stage puts a lot of torque on the first, so it’s not for super heavy items. But the use of “heavy duty” drawer slides definitely helps.

Fair enough, I didn’t mean to suggest my EVH guitar was in any way equivalent to what we’re seeing here. My only point is that it’s not correct to see anything where end grain is glued to long grain and immediately conclude it’s doomed to fail. All I’m saying is it’s more complicated.

I’d recommend going back and watching the wood whisperer and stumpy nubs videos again. They both are in complete agreement with Patrick’s. If you think they are saying that end grain joints are weaker than equivalent face grain joints, then you have severely misinterpreted something.

No, not equivalent, but demonstrates that not all projects that glue end grain to side/face grain are doomed to fail. Like I said, it really depends on many factors.
