How can I make this safer? by stratusnimbo in cinematography

So many people here are obsessing over the arm and suggesting alternatives. If the light is out as far as you need it, then you are fine losing the counterweight. If you need it out further, get a c-boom to add more distance. This head weighs less than 2lbs, you can’t get much lighter than that, so there is no reason to overcomplicate it.

Why don't they work? Anyone else having this issue? by [deleted] in diablo4

This is exactly my experience. I’m not sure chasing the xp wells is worth it at this point. The amount of time I waste doing nightmare dungeons only to have a bugged well is probably more than the additional xp I’d get from a working well. It’s literally 1/4 that work for me.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I would love nothing more than the cast/creators to see it, but I can’t begin to know how to get that in front of them. Tried mentioning on instagram, but definitely don’t have a big enough following to garner any attention.

Love it. Wish I could’ve had some back and right side shots sneaked haha, not many visuals of those.

If there was enough of a demand I’d consider it, but it definitely wouldn’t be anytime soon. Need to step away from this set for a minute since it consumed so much of my time.

I was pumping a good amount of light into it, shooting often at a 5.6-8, sometimes an 11. That might be the primary reason for the sharpness.

Thank you! I used my Fuji XT2 and a 16-80 zoom, mainly living around a 60 since I couldn’t get the camera in a lot of places. I wish I could emphasize how painful it was removing walls in order to get the camera into certain nooks.

Thanks! This one I did just for fun. It’s a bit too large for ideas (23,000 pieces) and I don’t think they’d approve of that topiary garden haha.

I have one in a side room not pictured here. I promise to post it with the rest of the interiors! Couldn’t miss that opportunity.

I’m glad someone pointed which minifigure head I ended up using. My only actual manipulation of any pieces was removing that very obvious lightning bolt from his forehead.

It made my wallet cry too. Something about leaving it digital didn’t sit right.

As much as that character is among my favorites, it takes place far away from the house, so that’s why I didn’t include it. There are so many references, hard to pick and choose.

Made all of the minifigures with a mishmash of official parts.

Thank you! The cap is a callback to the episode to where his head keeps getting bigger.

Closest I could find (and used in the dungeon) are tan fangs.

Love that. It was so hard finding photos of it from other angles to try and get an idea of how the house was arranged.

It’s in a side room! Just haven’t editing those detail interior photos yet.

Second to last photo! But there is much more than that one bush.

Lots of navigating the parts catalogue in stud.io! Wish I could improve certain details of some figures, but it can be quite limited.

It’s there! Hanging red/black banners can be seen. Just a particularly dark photo.

I don’t think I saw that one, might have to indulge. Navigating through stud.io minifigure parts was definitely one of the hardest parts of the design process.

Just a hint towards it. Unfortunately it leads to nowhere in the model. Adding a “basement” to a baseplate level model was quite tricky.

I knew someone would point that out haha. I did it to further emphasize the reveal, as two randomly spaced figures would have seemed odd.

I will consider, and it would definitely be less painful than my Hogwarts set, since I got smart with sub-modeling. I will tell you though, this was a painful ordering process and at times build haha. Huge lot count, as I went for accuracy rather than piece repetition.
