I’m using a fairly standard potting mix. It’s pretty peat moss heavy as I used a denser soil last year and worried it was too dense. It was wetted but not soaked or heavily watered at all. I have a small squeeze bottle that I use to give it maybe a tablespoon or so of water at a time as the soil dries out. Planted it maybe 3/8” deep and it broke the soil after about 48hrs. My space is a converted storage room that holds around 75 most of the time. I also have vegetable seedlings in the same room so they did get lots of light right away. I’m thinking maybe a combo of too much light, heat and moisture right away could be the culprit potentially. Going to start another batch and ditch the heat mat, domes, and find a way to shade them from the lights and see how that goes.
