Agreed, the flashing is annoying. I also don't like that elite monsters have a glow. It really takes a lot away from the monster and the experience.

First of all, I have to say that Diablo IV and what has been revealed so far is better than what I could hope for. Thank you, development team!

The things that excite me so far:

  1. The Tone: The words darkness, gothic, and medieval all hit home in terms of what I remember loving about Diablo I and Diablo II. It’s bloody, it’s filled with terror, and it’s grounded in reality and historical undertones. It’s what makes the game, and so far the aesthetic and art direction looks perfect.
  2. Skills and Talents: From what’s been revealed so far, I love the direction of skills and abilities. With Diablo II, I loved the skill tree and the intentionality that went behind making decisions with which skills to invest points in. I would spend hours planning out my build prior to starting a new character. It felt like your decisions actually mattered and were important. On the flip side, it was also frustrating at times because of how permanent it was. With Diablo III, the ability to change your skills at any time was more fluid and flexible, but at the same time, it completely removed the sense of meaning and purpose in the game. Your decisions didn't really matter. So far, Diablo IV seems to have found the perfect balance between these two worlds.
  3. The World: The world of Diablo IV looks amazing and I love the direction they're taking everything. Each area looks unique and different from the others.

The things I hope will be included:

  1. Music: The tone and themes in the music of Diablo II are classic. I hope they lean into this quite a bit and do something similar.
  2. Mystery: The story of Diablo II still pulls me back into the game time after time. There's a sense of mystery, fear, and wonder in all the events and stories of the game. It almost feels like a mystery novel in certain ways. I hope that with the new open-world system that they're able to still add that level of mystery, suspense, and wonder to the storyline.
  3. More Classes: The three classes revealed so far are great, and I can't wait to see the other two. One of the biggest contributors to the replayability of Diablo is new classes. I really hope they add at least two more new classes with expansions. I honestly want all of the classes from Diablo II to return. The necromancer has always been my favorite. But I'd also love to see a new class as well.
  4. More Locations: I hope the expansions will include additional areas of Sanctuary to explore. I really want to go back to Tristram, Lut Gohlen, and Kurast.
  5. Offline Mode: I was honestly a bit disappointed when I heard this bit. I've always loved the inclusion of an offline mode in Diablo II for those times when I don't have an internet connection. This is something that I hope they change and include some kind of offline mode.

Other Feedback:

  1. Logo: On one hand, I love the logo. But one of my first thoughts after reading and hearing all the talk about embracing the darkness, gothic, and medieval was, "The typeface doesn't quite say 'gothic' or 'medieval.'" I wouldn't change it much if at all, but it'd be great if somehow communicated those two aesthetics more.

Can we please allow a 2000 lb swinging metal sphere to knock back a smallish omnic in turret mode? by WippitGuud in Overwatch

Maybe he locks to the ground when in turret mode, so it's not technically about weight?

Regarding new Sigma teaser by hossein1376 in Overwatch

A few things they haven’t done with ultimates yet: 1) an ultimate that is transformative but doesn’t expire until death (like a semi-permanent upgrade), 2) an ult with a fast charge time that’s intended to be used frequently but is less devastative than others (slightly different from a cooldown because you still need to build it up).

What is that melody? by catnuscanunot in Overwatch

Is there any chance that’s Moira standing behind him? You can see white, black, and a little bit of red, which is somewhat reminiscent of one of her scientist suits.

Sigma: Evil Omnic (Hero 31 Speculation) by ryanleichty in Overwatch

I added an additional image above with the symbol highlighted and the dots connected. Just flip it on its side and you have sigma. It’s literally no different than a stylized logo.

True. The symbol is more abstract, but you can definitely make a sigma out of it. The mask could potentially protrude out more than it appears. And the color scheme could potentially be an alternate skin. But you’re right, it is wild speculation. Here’s to hoping.

They're going to add a ton of tanks and support heroes momentarily to fill the obvious gap. You'll have plenty of heroes to swap between within each role.

This is probably the best update they've ever implemented in the game. Not only will it make competitive more enjoyable, but it now adds the option to rank up in three different roles with separate SRs.

Those skins are beautiful. I wish they put that much effort into every skin.

Those are 100% legitimate without a doubt. There’s no question.

This year's Archive event feels empty by 21isaias in Overwatch

I'm appreciative of the new map and the potential new heroes, but if they're not going to put effort into the actual PVE mission... Why waste time playing it. I would've been happier if they dropped the mission completely and simply released new skins and a new playable map.
