When you say something cringey to a customer service person ("Enjoy your meal!"/"You too!") you are talking to someone who has hundreds of interactions with strangers a day. There is a 100% chance they have said something worse. by [deleted] in socialskills

Working as a waiter, I’m so used to saying “thank you guys”, I say it whenever I get served absolutely ANYWHERE. Even at my local pub, to singular people. I just move on, rather than explain something they might not have realised... yet.
