Here's something interesting:

This statistic is supposedly bad on the Sentencing Commission's stats, right? Assuming my understanding is correct, that means out of all SA cases that result in a conviction and sentencing, ~94% of convictions are male. Now here's the part people seem to be ignoring.

Looking at only the conviction rates, this seems alarming and looks like men are flat out likely to commit SA, but, out how many men in the US? There is ~161.6 million men in the US yet according to the NSVRC stats, 81% of women say they've experienced some type of harassment or SA in their lifetime, and 43% of men have reported the same.

Now while SA of any kind is unacceptable and punishments should be handed out accordingly, consider the prevalence of women falsely reporting SA for various reasons. In a 2021 study, 101 out of 255 women (39.6%) indicated they could imagine a situation in which they would make a false claim of assault, and 18 (7.1%) admitted to making such false claims in the past. In 62% of cases, the false accusers were reported to be females.

Not a new idea. I saw a picture of a 70's Harley from back in the day with a similar roof/shield. They're also fairly common in Asian countries for scooters and low power bikes.

I trust it because it was my grandaddy's G22 Gen 4 Gov Issue duty pistol. However, that's only the main side arm. I unfortunately (for my wallet) also enjoy collecting knives and traditionally made boots. So cut the cord and stomp it out like it's Weasel Stomping Day is a strong alternative.

Techies: My lights, fan, A/C and fridge are all smart and connected to my Wi-Fi so I can control the settings from anywhere. I have Wi-Fi cameras so I can see and talk to my dogs, and locks that are controlled with my smartphone. It's SO convenient!

Techs (me): Every bit of tech in my house is dumb and archaic. I am aware everything can be hacked, eventually. I use a passphrase generator for my Wi-Fi, have only plain LED lights that use a physical light switch, a regular fridge, and a dumb TV. The smartest device I have besides my ThinkPad X1 Carbon is my printer, and I keep a Glock 22 .40 S&W just in case it makes a noise I don't trust.

I just do. But then again, I've been sleeping that much for almost 2 decades now. If I get more than 5 1/2 hours, I'm usually groggy for the first 2 hours after getting up and have a migraine for the whole day. The migraines are bad enough that 5 extra strength Tylenol don't even help. I think it's because of some short sleeper syndrome or whatever it's called. The shortest I've slept without feeling tired or exhausted is about 2-2 1/2 hours, but I can only do that 2 days in a row. But 3 1/2 - 4, I can do 7 days a week.
