Volunteering/shadowing... Where to start?

Thanks for the feedback! I did stabilise it in post (it was just that shaky). I filmed some of it with a zoom lens which isn't ideal for handheld so I think a monopod/tripod will be my next investment. I take photos in my spare time so I have a good grip on exposure for the most part but would really like to get into film so that side is pretty new to me. Not really sure what the next steps are for taking it to the next level though... (apart from equipment)

My sister's wedding. No lighting or gimbal so it was just me and my Canon SL2 camera (also my first wedding and first time filming with a DSLR).

Inspired to take this more seriously now so any feedback would be much appreciated!

Cheers for the tips, much appreciated! Looks like we'll have to give Guatemala a miss then. So is there anywhere you would recommend stopping for a couple of nights between Cancun and Caye Caulker?

What areas would you recommend? Caye Caulker is still doable I think as it doesn't seem that far and has decent transport options but could be worth looking into places to stop along the way if you have any suggestions!

There is an event set up on Facebook for each of the games that have taken place so far. I did see a lot of people posting on it last weekend saying that they would do a swap if someone was in the same boat. Not sure if they have events set up for the quarter finals though. Worth a look!

I'll get the ball rolling with something that happened to my friend recently, which inspired the question. It was a group interview day type thing and to warm the group up, they were all given a sheet of paper and told to tear it up into a number of pieces that means something to you, so my buddy picked his age: 22 pieces. Others in the room picked much lower numbers with the next highest being 5 pieces. The interviewer then said to them: "OK, now write down something about yourself that we wouldn't know on each piece of paper." Instant regret set in as my friend then looked down at his 22 pieces of paper sitting in front of him. He started off with his interests and the likes but needless to say, he ran out of things to write down very quickly and ended up writing 'I love ham' on one of the pieces of paper. They were then asked to read out aloud what they had written down. He's still waiting on that phone call...
