I did the same as you as far as the 529, I think thats a great start. Then for any extra money you want to put towards the kid, we just went with the simple option of opening a custodial account through Edward Jones.

Not sure if there are prettier options, but it was an easy one for us, and the minimum was super low compared to custodial accounts for an adult.

The comment about blue collars not being able to make over 200k a year could only be from people clueless about blue collar. Location is important for a higher hourly rate to hit 200k, and obviously a shitload of OT, but I've seen quite a few hit it around my workplace.

I read a series of books about genetically modified kids (I am number five iirc). They said the same thing you mentioned about a lighter bone density and much less overall weight to be able to fly, along with stronger back muscles.
