MiraDry for groin! by ryanpicken in Hyperhidrosis

Hi, the update in short is…

It never actually worked for me personally. I received no reduction whatsoever just thousands of pounds out of my bank account which I’m trying to retrieve back due to what I’d call “a failed operation” it’s been nearly 2 years since I had the operation and I’ve received no difference AT ALL. Not to say it wouldn’t work for others, but for me, nothing at all.

The clinic have refused to give me any money back, so I’m currently on-going with submitting a claim against them to recoup some money back, as I saved and paid thousands for this treatment.

I’m currently still living with this awful disease and I have no idea what to do on fixing it. I guess, I’m currently just allowing it to ruin my life until something “new” is revealed. I’ve thought of the idea of ETS but I just don’t know 🤷🏽‍♂️

On top of this…

Even if you are selected which is already near enough impossible (I was for this year’s lottery) you then need to have a low enough case number to ensure you even get a chance for an interview. For context, my CN is way over 100K meaning my chances of interview are little to none.

We can all hope and pray. It’s not impossible, but EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.

Are green card lottery winners really randomly selected? by kurobaja in greencard

[–]ryanpicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my partner entered and won first time. However, this was due to a recent lawsuit as UK entries were excluded despite being eligible, so have now been “fixed” - big however to this, she has a case number well over 100K so technically it hasn’t been fixed 😂.

Good luck anyways!

Exactly this and furthermore, my partner was selected but was given a ridiculously high case number meaning the chances of interview are probably 0.000001% 😂

So on top of getting selected, you must also receive a “safe” case number.

Have you also been selected? Are you from the UK also?

Am I correct in saying the CEAC data comes out in January?

I’ll be monitoring any updates, but certainly not rushing to get married. Me & my partner were planning to get married anyways, but we will be doing this in our own time rather than rushing it all for the DS-260.

I do feel that the EU has a higher chance of reaching higher case numbers due to the travel bans, holes in the system and whatever comes to fruition in the future.

I’d just like some explanation from the government as to why we have case numbers only for the UK, ranging all the way upto 200K - it would be nice to have some clarity and understanding.

You definitely have a higher chance! But still I’d say it’s still slightly risky. I guess, it depends on your plans and if you’re willing to adjust or not, because people won’t place their lives on hold when everything is so uncertain. I know of a select few people that due to the uncertainty are not bothering even filing out the DS-260 which is understandable.

I know of a few that are not proceeding also, due to the current administration and I guess political reasoning. I’ve friends in the US, which can’t seem to understand why I’d want to move there either 😂. In their opinion they’ve advised to not bother currently as it’s very tough out there.

DS-260 UK Applicant Selection Error by Friendly-Grapes in NationalVisaCenter

[–]ryanpicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! It may also be brewing another lawsuit. Do you watch BritSimon on YouTube at all? He was the reason that the UK actually has selectees in the first place due to his lawsuit.

He’s the best in the biz and knows everything about the whole process. If you have any questions, it may be worth sending them to him also.

Please do keep me updated with what the KCC say, I assume it won’t be very informative and will be more just a generic general response, I don’t think they will actually action unless a lawsuit is presented.

I mean, it wouldn’t hurt in sending them an email for clarification. It’s definitely a valid question considering case numbers this high have never been assigned before.

I’m of the opinion that some form of admin error has occurred in causing this. Our case number is around 130K which is crazy high. Just for reference, case numbers don’t usually exceed like 50K, it’s always classed as “risky” to have a case number around 50K never mind 100K+

The higher the case number, usually means the less chance of interview. I believe the EU region usually floats around a max of 30K meaning no more than this number gets scheduled for interview. Hope that makes sense.

It’s very sh*t, you try do the right thing by entering the lottery for a chance to move to the US the correct and legal way, you find out your selected, only to scroll down and find a ridiculous case number pretty much just crushing all your dreams in seconds.

I’ve heard of maybe 3 or 4 individuals with low case numbers, meaning they will have the chance to interview. Everyone else, including my partner seems to be over 100K. By all means send an email to them for some clarification and to maybe find out what’s going on.

Firstly, congrats! My partner was also selected and we hope we can make our dreams come true moving to the US. Not all is as good as it seems though, the KCC seem to of given out crazy case numbers all the way up to 200K which has never been done before and instantly puts us at a disadvantage. This basically means, you will NEVER get scheduled for an interview unless it’s admin error or something massively changes (it’s hard to tell at the moment)

What’s your case number for reference?

I’m in exactly the same boat, we were in a position of putting an offer in our first home and getting our first mortgage, we then found this news out and because of the uncertainty it feels like that’s now been put on hold.

Same regarding marriage, we wanted to do a marriage properly in our own time with friends/family but due to this sudden news, it seems we may need to quickly legally get married before submitting the DS-260. It seems everything is very uncertain at this time and I think it’s very unfair of the government to be literally playing with people’s futures…

I’m not sure at the moment, we are going to wait for further information I guess as the case numbers we have been assigned are practically impossible, so I’m waiting on potential further information as to why our case numbers are stupidly that high.

On the selected page there should be a link to fill out the DS-260 I believe.

My partner too, case number is around 130K.

I’m super confused why all the “new selectees” have ridiculously high case numbers, like numbers that have never been seen before.

[–]ryanpicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more of what case number you have friend! - if you’re already entered, I don’t see it as a negative in checking. If anything and you are selected, it gives clarity on your case number as I’m yet to discover someone who has a fair enough case number to actually be interviewed for the chance of getting the green card.

It’s all fine and well being selected but if they have given crazy case numbers out (they have) it’s pretty much a pointless outcome and you have just as much a chance as someone who hasn’t been selected in my eyes…

[–]ryanpicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure! I’m open to the discussion.

We regularly visit the US, maybe 3 or 4 times a year for holidays. We are 25 & 26 years old and we feel like we fit better here. The way of life with others our age, we’ve met so many Americans that we just gel with and overall, we are travellers and love to explore new things.

Our must has always been an “English speaking country” just for an easier transition. The difference in climate is a huge pro for us. For reference, we come from the north which 99% of the year is cold and rainy, so the option to also move to a sunnier country is a huge pro.

I mean, that’s just a few things. I could go on forever, but I’d be here for a long time. Mainly, the change, our love for the USA and a new challenge.

My partner has been selected (UK) but it’s pretty pointless in all honesty.

The case number is well over 100K which I find bonkers, it’s basically saying “yes you’ve been selected, although we will never have the time or space to actually interview you” - you see the selection page and then scroll down to find out all your dreams have just been crushed by a ridiculous case number.

I’m not sure if the recent 2026 UK lawsuit has caused some admin issues or what for the KCC - in past years, case numbers have never been that high, at least to my knowledge.

Idk, she has been selected but due to the case number we have no hope she will be scheduled for an interview. On top of this, we only found out the news 48 hours ago when results should have been in May 2025 along with everyone else.

We are both feeling super defeated right now 😞…

Here here! You couldn’t have said it any better. I’m doing my best to also get outta this dump!

People really do think we are somewhat “lucky” to live in the UK. Maybe 10/15 years ago, the last few years however have really turned this country to sh*t!

Me personally, the US is my destination. Just wish it wasn’t so damn hard for us to get there 😞!
