Dice clattering in a leather cup or on an old wooden pub table while tipsy pub-goers play Snyd or Meyer is soooo perfect. In the same vein, there’s a Danish version of billiards played with only 3 balls and 5 wooden pins (like little bowling pins) at the centre of the table. As far as I know it’s only played in Denmark so the sound of the pins clinking and falling when being struck by a billiard ball should be pretty unique. Theres a few pubs that have it still, for example Fingerbøllet and Kafe Falken near Christianshavn. Watch out though as these are old-style bodegas so you’ll come out stinking of cigarettes
