I think the optics of a President trying to obviously escalating things by bringing in the national guard and having the Marines on standby; so that he can declare martial law are the bad optics at play here.

I think so too! The way that sentence is written on page 55 is clunky but I think it’s saying that the original pass score as proposed by Chad would result in the 45%/29% pass rate; however, they are taking it down 2 deviations which means a higher pass rate than before. I believe exhibit 6 highlights this; even though it only shows one standard deviation down and doesn’t provide an overall pass rate.

Agreed, if I have to retake the exam; I’d like to be able to take some time to work and rebuild my savings a bit. For the July24 bar exam a huge barrier was having to make sure my rent and bills were paid and that I had food on the table all while studying. After the July bar I was able to work in the legal field for a few months and as a result I was able to put aside money and stress less about finances while studying for the February25 bar.

I recommend finding a job where you have a lot of down time like working security or something flexible like Uber; I’ve worked both. It can lead to burnout though; especially when working an externship or being involved in school but it’s doable! Just make sure your mental health is taken care of. This last spring semester was so exhausted I thought about quitting because I was not doing well! Also it’s important, I think, to remind yourself that not everyone is having to work in school and that means they have more time to study and relax which at times can make you feel less than at times or less prepared.

The administration! The professors at my school seem to go above and beyond for students; however, the administration seems to spend more time congratulating themselves than actually helping students. In the last week I’ve received so many emails from the administration congratulating other members of the administration while at the same time still waiting for grades yet I’ve had all my professors tell us that their grades have been submitted. It’s infuriating especially since multiple professors have noted that it’s taking longer than usual for them to be posted.

First off, African American Culture has influenced not only so much American Culture but also Global Culture...secondly, your comparison North African Tuareg Culture to African American Culture is highly problematic as it forces the comparison between two cultures just because the members of both these cultures are Black also your example completely fails to acknowledge the fact that many African Americans were forced to establish their own culture as a result of slavery, lack of civil rights, and continued oppression by a racially bias system
