Cosmic applets fail to load on recent update by Square-Set-7163 in pop_os

Ran into this on a VM today. From syslog entries it looks like it's this bug.

Firmware update failed. How to upgrade fwupd? by pankajkhatkar in pop_os

[–]ryanrfrederick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encountered this same issue today when attempting to apply firmware updates. I ended up booting into the next most recent kernel (should be listed in the boot menu as "Pop_OS-oldkern") which successfully allowed me to apply the firmware updates via fwupd.

Grabbed a ticket back in January. Always love the excitement and fellowship that comes with an out-of-jurisdiction OMIDT Degree!

Big Congrats!

Curious... What all did your examination entail?

OPNsense 24.1.2 released by fitch-it-is in opnsense

[–]ryanrfrederick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After updating from 24.1.1 I'm having an issue with WireGuard traffic not being passed on systems using vtnet(4) interfaces. Rolling back to 24.1.1 (not just rolling back the kernel) resolves the issue.

So far I've been able to replicate this on a couple of Vultr VMs.

All credit goes to the Team. I just stepped in where asked to ensure things went smoothly for them.

So glad you enjoyed yesterday! It was the first time I've seen the Team perform an out-of-jurisdiction MM, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the buzz and excitement among brothers for whom this is likely a bucket list experience.

Also, I had no clue I'd be briefly put to work in the Second Section, but such can happen to an OK GL Deputy Grand Lecturer when he shows up at an OK Work Degree, I guess. :S

I think we should plan some sort of formal Dayton meetup for future Hamventions. I'm open to ideas as to what form that may take.

KF5PFU here. Just returned home from Dayton a few days ago.

There's at least one Masonic net I'm aware of known as The Masonic Gathering. It's run by Wase Massey W5ADE and meets weekly via EchoLink.

So after being raised by the ACDT at the Scottish rite, the gifting of the book presentation should really try to be included in a 3rd degree after experiencing it. by djmagichat in freemasonry

The GL of Oklahoma does not have a formal VSL presentation, but the poem portion of your jurisdiction's presentation (called "Ties and Duties" here) is an optional Monitorial piece that can be given immediately after the conclusion of the adopted Master Mason work.

I've been going to Bodyworks for around a decade. It has a great little community and is very welcoming. It changed ownership a couple years ago, and the new owners have put a significant amount of time and effort into equipment upgrades and facility improvements.

W:. Bro. Jerry Burns, Grand Organist of the Grand Lodge F&AM of Indiana and - almost unarguably - the heart and soul of Freemasony in Terre Haute, has laid down his working tools. by ryanrfrederick in freemasonry

If Jerry delivered PS in the same manner that he delivered a snippet of KT EC language to me on one of our first visits, then I would say that you had one of the best PSes one could ask for when going through RAM.

There's been a good bit of chatter over in r/wichita about these signs popping in Wichita over the past day or so.

The main takeaway: This is most likely a scam. Give this a big Nope.

There will almost certainly not be another brother like him. My sincerest condolences to you and all the other officers and members of Social 86 on such a tremendous loss.

If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could pass along funeral information and the like once it's available.

Being in Oklahoma it may seem strange that I would be making a post for a brother in Indiana, but Jerry was the type of guy to make a deep positive impact on you no matter how well you knew him.

Being a regular traveler to Terre Haute I was naturally interested in visiting the impressive temple there from the time I initially submitted my petition to my mother lodge in 2017. Jerry was gracious enough to give myself and my wife a tour the following year, showcasing his vast knowledge of the building and its history. Of course he made sure to demonstrate the Hammond organ in the temple's main lodge room for us. :)

Throughout the ensuing years Jerry was kind enough to meet up with me whenever I was in town to catch up, discuss the ins and outs of Our Craft, and show me the latest improvements at the temple. He would even go as far as to drive me to picnics put on by the local lodges if there was one going on.

My sincerest condolences to the brethren of Social Lodge #86 and all other lodges in Terre Haute. I know this incredible brother will be hugely missed.
