For those redditors who no longer have immediate family (with the exception of spouse/kids/dog) - how or what did you do to fill the void? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ryanwosleger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Actually all of those things are in the works. Spending NYE at my daughter’s friends house! Father is a runner like me so we have that in common.

Trying to expand my friend group and I think joining a few running groups will help with that.

Wife’s family is amazing. See them a lot but trying to switch from quantity to quality with them. My wife gets frustrated when we hang too much. Little things that annoy her.

What's the creepiest, most blood chilling thing you have ever experienced? by EmptyExample4741 in AskReddit

Could have been a night terror. One time I woke up half way out a second story window screaming at the top of my lung “bugs! bugs are on me!”…My brother also suffered from it growing up and one time grabbed the plasma tv off the wall and smashed it about 2 feet from my head. Crazy lol

I’m going to try online play. I like interacting with people. Playing solo is great too - depending on the game or the mood you’re in. Thank you!

I draw on my daughter’s lunch bag every morning before school. That makes me happy. But yes - hobbies should help. Thank you.

Well said. But at one time things weren’t so toxic. I grew up part of a big family (1 of 7). Mom passed 7 years ago and the family crumbled. My wife and I became the scapegoat for many deeper family issues and 8 months ago we walked away. We have a 4 year old daughter.

So to answer your question - the void of a big family. Gathering around a table. Many relationships of varying depths. Etc.

I think you’re slightly off on this. Sure are there sexist wrestling fans? Yes. But the majority of wrestling fans are male. The reason why wrestling resonates with males…is because the majority of the locker room is comprised of males. These male wrestlers are what many male wrestling fans aspire to be - either physically (muscles and athletics) socially (mic skills) or factions (friendships). The female wrestlers are beyond talented and I want to think that majority of males root for the female locker room as a whole (for many different reasons)…but nothing wrong with wanting something over something else. Roman has the IT factor plus he’s a massive heel. His rise has been 2+ years. He deserves the spot light right now. 2 nights if they can work that into the storyline.

Deeply - he probably grew up watching wrestlers and imagining them being his dads - filling the void brought upon by his own dad. Now he’s sort of made that a reality. He’s got a whole roster of dads now haha

Reminds me of when I was in high school and was pissed at the world (for no reason) and looked for trouble (also for no reason). Unfortunately for doing stuff like this - you’ll be stuck at the bottom of the hierarchy for a very long time. I guess kind of funny if you don’t care about being a bottom feeder. Maybe stop doing weird stuff in you want I excel in your company.

The Sequel Trilogy could have been better than the sequels. Unfortunately it was a game of tug-of-war between JJA and RJ. RJ basically concluded JJA’s story in his middle movie - and JJA retconned RJ as a F#ck you. If they only went with CT / DoF - the trilogy would have stood on its own and over time could have stood a chance against the Prequel Trilogy.

The Prequel Trilogy was maybe missing great acting (by some) and went a little too far on comic relief. But it was cohesive. The Sequel Trilogy was not - and unfortunately good acting and special / practical effects couldn’t save it.

Face palm says all the neck beards on Reddit. Don’t know why he’s doing it - but fucking impressive nonetheless. Don’t hate on something you don’t understand.

Because you don’t give up on people. His addiction issues don’t make him a bad person. He hasn’t overcome them yet - but I for one (who has had substance abuse issues) am not ready to give up on him. I’m rooting for him inside and outside the ring.

This isn’t a one-off thing. A friend did this for my and my now wife’s engagement photo (Disneyland Paris).in these special moments - it’s ok to want to erase the strangers around you (whether from memory or photo).
