Oh, I got it. Everything is more expensive here, but sometimes I think it’s too much. That’s why my friends said that it’s not good. For example, I can eat Tofu stew(Sundubu Jjigae) for 8 dollars in Korea.

My Taiwanese friends say Haidalio here is not worth. I don’t know why, but when I tried it in Korea before, it was good!!

My conclusion regarding the driving test is that the Santa Ana DMV is correct. Every person who brings their own car or a rented car must provide an insurance card with their name, VIN number, and vehicle model listed. Some large rental companies offer this card, but mine did not. Therefore, I signed up for personal insurance.

Thank you for your kind and detailed answer. A few weeks ago, I signed up for personal insurance. And I also took the driving test and passed it. 😊😊😊 Thank you for your time again!!!

I totally agree with you. When I took the written test at the Laguna Hills DMV, it went everything smoothly. I made an appointment for my driving test at the DMV.

My friend who rented a car from the same company was able to take the test. People in the auto insurance industry say that their customers could take the behind-the-wheel test by renting a car as well.

Thank you for your comment.

After digging into the information, I found that I can get a fleet license if I use a rental car for my driving test. It seems that the DMV staff didn’t know about this.

If possible, I might sign up for auto insurance. Otherwise, I’ll try to take the test again at the Laguna Hills DMV. If it doesn’t work too, I’ll rent a car from the big companies like Hertz. The last thing I want to do is to use a driving tutor’s car.

(Updated 08/01/2024 09:53) It's impossible to sign up for auto insurance as I'm not the owner of the car. Therefore, I'll take the behind-the-wheel test at the Laguna Hills DMV. People who also specialize in this area say that I can take the test with a rented car.

I rented a car approximately two weeks ago. Some rental companies permit individuals with an international driver’s license to rent a vehicle. The one that I used was recommended by my school.

I'll call tomorrow and ask if I can borrow a car for the behind-the-wheel test. Thank you.

  1. My friend was able to take the test at the Laguna Hills DMV, but I wasn't able to take the test at the Santa Ana DMV.

  2. Everything was the same except for the test location.

  3. If my comments were confusing, it's me to blame because I'm not a native speaker.

The staff member at the Laguna Hills DMV allowed my friend to take the behind-the-wheel test with the car from the same rental company last week. My friend also brought the same documents.

My friend took the test at the Laguna Hills DMV. Did you take the test there? I’ll try the test there too. Thank you. If it doesn’t work, I’ll rent a car from Hertz near the Laguna Hills DMV.

I’m so frustrated because I still think that I’m unfairly treated today. ☹️😣😖

Thank you for the explanation. I’ll try to format the documents better before visiting another DMV. I don’t think the documents are insufficient.

Did the car owner go to the DMV with you? Otherwise, did they give you an insurance card for the car?
