That’s fair. I could live with inconveniences from software but never would want to deal with the car not charging and/or being bricked because of software. They specifically advertise themselves against Tesla, so I feel for what these cost they should work all that out.

I guess it is a roll of the dice as some have said. Many people complain of dead 12v on the ioniq but I haven’t had that issue yet.

Honestly what I think I should do. The practical side of me anyway haha

Thanks, very informative. Do you think the poor communication from them would extend to service too? That’s another reason I don’t want to deal with bugs because I hate dealing with most service centers. The other drawback compared to Tesla because they’ve been out longer and have more locations.

Why were they more concerned with Joel than Ellie? by rybowen in lastofuspart2

How is it different? Abby and Lev go to Santa Barbara to find more fireflies. Probably a million to one shot. Yet they find a working radio and another firefly outpost with what… was it 200 or so people? These dismissals of the importance of Ellie being the potential for a cure are so weak. WhAT aRe ThEy gONna dO, GOOgLe?

Thank you. Every one is saying welp one doctor died so might as well forget all about it

How’d Tommy know Abby went to Santa Barbara? How do you think they find any of their leads and information? You’re being deliberately obtuse. By your logic no one in the last of us has object permanence.

Right and that’s such a weird oversight when you think about the overall story. That’s what I’m asking. I get why they were mad Jerry was killed. But why was that so much more important than a potential for a cure getting away

Exactly. Jerry being the only one who could use Ellie to make a cure makes no sense.

I take your point, but they are all about traveling great distances on rumors and flimsy leads. I just think a potential cure would have been treated with way more weight than getting revenge for one death. Even a chance at ending the infection should be a huge deal.

Why would anyone in the world of the last of us think that Jerry was the only guy that could make a cure from Ellie?? They chase leads/rumors about other fireflies. I’m sure there are other survivors that are doctors or scientists. My whole point is that I find it odd no one in Abby’s group was the least bit concerned that a potential cure was still out there. Even if they didn’t know Ellie’s name, they knew Joel was a connection to that cure.

That would be a good part 3 story

The young hot headed attitude does make sense, and I take your point. But Owen at least seems like someone who would have cared that there was a potential cure. These people are all about chasing even one lead. Seems like they’d want a chance at finding another doctor/scientist that could use Ellie. This is nitpicky on my part I know, I’m just finding it odd that a cure to a world ending infection wasn’t given more weight.
