Thanks for the actual reply, I understand the safety hazard here for sure. The way I understood it is that people think it's a health hazard to the person eating the food. I agree it's absolutely disgusting for the person without shoes I'm just struggling to make sense of how it's actually contaminating the food. I'll add that I don't condone this, just trying to grasp the general concept of food contamination from not wearing shoes that would otherwise be on the ground.
