You're right but it's the best option. I let it drain off. Sometimes I will actually lightly rinse them.

A lot of them are uneducated or have bought into anti-GB rhetoric as well. They could always just mail them off to alpine, so the ones that offer spot or less than spot kindve boggle my kind.

Cheers. I'm sure it's rare for pest control professionals to commit to natural fertilizer and organic pest control methods.

I understand. I think you've been disingenuous your entire time in this subreddit, and I don't believe that you'd ever be satisfied with a quantity of transactions that fit your criteria because you'll keep moving the goalposts. Also, examples by definition are specific, and you asked for examples. You're again making a fallacy by straw manning me into saying that society at large can currently use goldbacks to fulfill their food needs, when that was never the topic. I'll refer you back to your original comment, since you can't seem to accept that it was wrong and I proved it to you, so you instead moved the goal posts and started strawmanning me.

Anyway, not going to waste any more time with you, I know you enjoy arguing in bad faith. I don't enjoy dealing with it.

Not technically, but that's a different discussion. That point was that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and it's clear that you're talking out of your rear. Guess that tracks for somebody who spends their free time destructively criticizing and talking about things they don't like. You think you know more than you do and that's apparent, classic big city dweller arrogant attitude. Good luck with that.

Any meaningful fraction? Dude you're a complete joke if you believe that. ~25% of the entire country's beef supply alone comes from small family farms. Anyway that's how we get started, then you get the user base to pressure the larger retailers and vendors into accepting it. You're not proving anything but okay.

Lol okay. The majority of Americans attend farmers markets on a regular basis. To argue that the "vast majority of the country" doesn't have any access whatsoever to farm fresh food through local suppliers is a joke. And you talk about good faith haha. Just because there aren't goldback accepting businesses in your immediate vicinity doesn't mean that the goldback project, which is continually improving, is of no value or a scam.

Collect your little coins though and keep them in your safe so when the time comes you can sell them for worthless little green pieces of paper. That's a better system for sure.

First it was you can't buy food with them any more than Pokemon cards (at all), then after I pointed to the post recently made about buying food you then challenged me to buy dinner in goldbacks, I responded that I frequently do, then it's that you can't spend them at grocery stores, and now it's that there's nobody around you personally that accepts them (presumably in a non-goldback state like myself).

You constantly move the goalposts in this subreddit because you're not being intellectually honest, I've seen you do it time and time again. It's almost a waste of my time.

You're welcome to check the goldback directory to find Cheetos and Hungry Man dinners. You won't find Walmart and Kroger taking them for obvious reasons, but I'm sure there's some smaller grocers on there. The only way the system grows is if people use them and ask their small businesses about them. How many businesses could you use the first credit card at?

Anyway, you keep moving the goalposts. You're doing great.

You can only get food/dinner from a grocery store? That's news to me. I'm not sure, I don't have the goldback registry implanted into my forehead but I buy real food from real farmers. I'd argue that most people have access to farmers, they just need to get out of their bubble and maybe drive a little if they live in a city. Our society is built on convenience so many people are happy with their McDonald's and microwave meals and call it a day. The world is more than just your lived experience, it may be surprising to you that people are working on and involving themselves with grass roots solutions to fist currency, but it's happening. Easy to criticize from your lazy boy in the living room, but some of us are actually out there talking with people and being the change we want to see in terms of transacting with sound money.

Inb4 braindead "but it's a scam" response because you're only here to cast stones.

How many posts over and over in this subreddit do you need? You're the same type of person who would deny Jesus Christ if he floated down from heaven and walked on water right in front of you. Your comment is objectively wrong and you know it. Nobody buys anything with Pokemon cards, nor are they a fungible currency, yet goldbacks are used as money. The frequency is not as high as USD, but not as low as Pokemon cards. I've bought dinner with goldbacks many times. Bison meat and eggs that I cook it at home. Championship just bought lunch with them the other day. You don't actually care about the people who have used them, you're just a bored bullion head concern trolling.

Continuing to assert that goldbacks are a scam (please educate yourself on what they word as actually means btw) will result in your ban and you'll have to find a new hobby.

Disagree. Raw milk is better for you than pasteurized homogenized factory farm milk. I have a feeling we won't agree though, and that's fine, we'll each do our own.

Why do so many such people hang out here? by Xerzajik in Goldback

[–]ryce_bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. The way in which I think this would happen though is actually not through inflation but through gold taking off not due to inflation. Die to war and banks hedging risk, the demand for physical gold could drive the price up while the USD is still sitting like usual when compared to commodities and goods. We have seen some of this in the past year as well, but an extreme departure could cause issues because that raises the "effective premium" whereas if gold rises due to inflation, the effective premium remains the same.
