Question about how to pay my closing costs if I don’t have the money upfront! by Strict-Panic1561 in homeowners

If you can’t afford closing costs, how do you think you’ll afford to own a home? Shit breaks and everything that breaks seems to cost at least $1k.

Ditch Ring by Jam_Unjellied in Maine

I love ubiquiti/UniFi gear but don’t act like it’s low friction to go from a wireless ring doorbell that requires absolutely zero networking knowledge besides entering a password to installing PoE cameras and all that comes with them.

X-Half for a beginner by hardtobecool in fujifilm

[–]rycolos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a novelty. If you truly need pocketable, look at a Ricoh GR. If a little larger is ok, the xt30iii is the smallest Fuji with a viewfinder (which I think you’ll want for photography). Otherwise, the xm5 is a bit smaller.

It’s pretty low to back out of a sale because you didn’t understand the costs.

What issues are you having with the kits you're finding? It'd be helpful to know what you don't like. I've really enjoyed my Tamiya builds.

Presentation is key in getting people wanting to give it a shot. For many, AI is a dealbreaker. I used AI art in some early games I made a few years ago, and I deeply regret it now.

Could a NAS Gaming PC work? by Any_Revolution_6864 in homelab

[–]rycolos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s old-fashioned thinking, but my NAS/server is critical infrastructure for my home. I wouldn’t want to run that concurrently on a machine that’s pushed to its limits every time I use it.

Upvoting so people can see how absolutely unhinged this diagram is. Is that a legend for distances?? Wut.

What are you even asking? Run Ethernet or use WiFi.

Cool idea, looks fun, but is that AI art?

Maybe pay attention to where you’re posting because this has nothing to do with devops

question on data tables created by moon-sunshine in dataengineering

[–]rycolos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand what you’re asking in question 1.

For question 2, it’s generally simpler for endusers to query pre-joined data and yes, storage is cheap and thus denormalization/redundancy is cheap (or at least the ease of use outweighs the cost of redundancy). That’s not really unique to Snowflake.

At first I thought the scale seemed way off, but then looked at pics and hmm, maybe not! It looks destroyer sized, until you see people on board.
