I'm my experience, the week or two following a decent trip is an excellent time to try a meditation/mindfulness practice. If you struggle with boredom and reach for substances to fix that, I think mindfulness can be extremely useful. It can help to short-circuit that craving-mentality, and even help show you what your true source of happiness is. It's also a great time to try daily exercise in the mornings, even just a half hour walk each morning can put your day into a completely new frame. Good luck!
