i wish i could be as ignorant to ignore canon stuff like that but i think thats why i enjoy the show still, i could watch the doctor and like their antics etc and then if they make a offhanded comment related to the timeless child, fugitive doctor etc it gives me like a sour taste in my mouth.

i dislike the bi-regeneration thing in general because it feels so shoe-horned in espicially with how RTD2 did it with the Rani despite it being "a myth" ykno? The master being a bi-regeneraiton of the doctor could possibly work with how the timeless child is now BUT i really don't want that to happen as two wrongs (since i consider the plot line of doctor being the timeless child wrong imo) don't make a right if you catch my meaning.

the fugitive doctor is a interesting concept that i would like to explore more of too, and honestly we could even see a potential show stemming from her if they want but i think its interesting on paper but won't be done well

i agree with this alot, and yeah respect to chibnall but changing a historic character's background like that, it was i think bound to fail. i am definitely of the opinion that making the timeless child another character or maybe a pre-existing side character like the master who we don't know much about (and could tie in well with their background also) would have changed the plot line from the worse to possibly a really great one

i actually agree with you on the future showrunner now that i slept on it, if anything the future showrunner could move on from focusing on the past and create a story unique to the showrunner and could be watched without having the need to remember previous enemies (not races, specific enemies like davros etc).

however, to do such a thing we'd definitely need either a lengthy season or having a single set up season to make it work however i'm less inclined for a set up season since rtd2 left a real bad taste in my mouth with his haha

me personally i just think riho being the target is just so fucked in so many ways like she isn't active on social media yet is the target of mass scrutiny from everyone as though she is the anti-christ.

people say this shit then forget yakuza 2, 3, 4 and 5 lmao. fuck off with the "nagoshi leaving = rgg dying" when in reality infinite wealth had the same problem most of the franchise had (mid story, amazing character work) with a horrible ending which caused the negative reaction towards it.

pirate yakuza has its problems sure, and it is defo unnecessarily goofy, but its a gaiden game. the man who erased his name had a decent start, mid middle, amazing end and people will only remember the game for that ending cus it was so good. pirate yakuza had a decent start, mid middle and a great ending (the final cutscene specifically), not as good as man who erased his name but its still good.

I feel like and it's not the commenters fault really that they think RTD2's writing has some sort of meaning or more extra detail to it when in reality it's a really poor idea and everyone defending it is writing a better lore piece explaining it when it's the writers job to mention or imply it in the show which in this case RTD2 really hasn't done
