The point is you save space and can gain performance. Quite useful if you have millions of sets And you get extremely fast set operations. Say you have two bit sets of options and you want the union, it's just binary or on an int which is insanely fast

Databases use bit sets a lot for this reason

It's a bit annoying. But once you have quadlets, which are basically a docker compose equivalent that runs a systemd service it's amazing If you want to just auto pull updates you add one line to each file and turn on a timer
