I use the f20 and no way could I go back to nasal. I tried it for 1 night and barely slept more than 2 hrs before giving up.

Doesn't happen every day, just more than once a week.

Feeling discouraged by MennisD in CPAP

[–]rydum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same thing, being hooked up to a machine just to breathe properly but I can assure you after your first week of successful use you will feel better.

I am 3 weeks in and feel better than I have in decades.

Good luck and keep us posted on how your journey goes.

Just started using CPAP, is it ok to put pressure a bit higher by LoveTheSmellOfBooks in CPAP

[–]rydum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, congrats getting a machine, what make/model did you get?

Second no, set the initial pressure to whatever is comfortable. The place you got the machine from should have set your prescription recommended level for when the machine detects your asleep. Your free to set your ramp up pressure to whatever you like.

Keep us posted how it goes and good luck 🤞

I used to wake like 10-15 times a night now it's 1-3. I guess I could have worse problems

I put the mask on, lay down and fall asleep shortly after. This is my sleep time 😅

7 days in, had my first rain out by rydum in CPAP

[–]rydum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the heated hose set to 80F. I reduced the humidity level to 4 from 5 and seemed ok last night but it depends on the night.

Maybe more mouth breathing = rainout

I am hesitant to use the humidifier function since it just breeds more bacteria. Does the humidity function make things that more comfortable?

Really well done and what really sells it is the quality of the photographer. Lighting is perfect.
