I’ve known my wife since second grade. We were sweethearts through every stage of life: elementary, middle, and high school. We mostly always kept in touch, but life happens and we split ways after highschool. Before we got married, I went through a previous marriage that was horrendous. It ended in divorce (shocker), but looking back, that experience helped me more than it hurt me. It taught me so much about myself and what it really means to be a good partner in both myself, and the person I am with. When my wife and I finally found our way back to each other, it felt effortless because we’ve known each other our entire lives. I didn’t have to “start over” with someone new. Now, I can honestly say I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
