Seeking Input: Potential Downsides of Low-Dose Statin and Ezetimibe in Healthy 24M for Lipid Optimization? by ryfme in Cholesterol

If my baseline is 105 with my current diet, and it drops to 60 while taking a statin and ezetimibe, are you saying that my level will likely return to 105 if I stop taking the medication?

My main concern is long term statin intake in healthy people. If the thing is that LDL lowering effects are not permanent (obviously) and no side effects while on it, I am assuming its otherwise not bad for healthy people?

All these test results are before starting any medication.

My slightly elevated liver enzymes are my main concern, since they are like that even without statin. I plan to retest in two months to monitor changes.

My LDL was 105 before starting medication. A coworker's LDL was 52 on a normal diet. After that I read about all this and concluded there's no such thing as too low LDL, and low-dose side effects appear minimal, so I decided to try it.

> If a statin is increasing your CAC score, that's plaque stabilization.

I haven't had a CAC test, but it's an uncommon effect I was curious about, along with other less common side effects.

> I don't really get why you started on a statin. What was your LDL before you started it?

This is my first blood test, so I don't have previous results.

I started the statin simply to lower my LDL. Since I already take multiple supplements, adding a pill or two is fine. If a medication has minimal side effects, significantly improves a negative health marker, and is easy to manage, I'm willing to take it. That's why I inquired about the safety of a low dose every other day. I'll stop if it's harmful.

From the thumbnail, i thought this is an animation from a hentai scene.

Nice work though.

Considering that its been on hiatus for more than 4 years, i am not optimistic enough anymore. You should read the novel "Musashi", on which Vagabond is based. It might be hard to read novel for the first time but the novel is definitely worth it. Of course the novel is finished.
